Rachel Maddow Falls for Fake Story About Conservatives and Sarah Palin

So the facts were completely false, but the reporting was good so that's good enough for you. Now, if it had been Glenn Beck who did this, I'm sure you'd give him the same pass, fair guy that you are, right?

When i said she did good reporting, I meant she didn't spin any of the supposed 'facts'. Whereas Glenn Beck's web site spun the story about her. But you have to expect this from the Beckster.

Rachel just talked about last night, she said of Beck "How do we know that isn't satire as well"

I do not defend Maddow or any of these hacks that call themselves news broadcasters. How can you sit here and critique her when you just defended Glenn freaking Beck.

Man, I've only been on this site a couple of weeks, and I swear, you have to have the biggest man crush on Glenn Beck....... I can't remember a thread where you haven't found a way to work the Beckster (nice pet name for him you thought up btw) into the thread … I sure hope this fixation with him gets better, I don't think it's too healthy for you .. after all he is a married man.

It's interesting to note in passing how the taking point continues to be spun in a certain way. Maddow was caught out. She "fell for" a story, and that is how the meme is transmitted. The thread topic is almost identically worded on various political debate sites. None of them mention the fact that she realised her error and is on record admitting the fact.

pretty sure if you bother to read the whole thread, you'll see her Twitter retraction was mentioned... as was her lack of a retraction on her actual show.
