Mississippi holds one other distinction - Having a name that the most Americans misspell. But is that the fault of Mississippi, or is that the fault of the US lowering it's educational standards? However, it could be worse. Canada has several provinces that are difficult to spell...... Hey, that's it. It's all Canada's fault. Problem solved. :mrgreen:

I thought they could never agree about the whole succession thing, so they just surrendered to themselves to avoid having to surrender to the Canadians of all people.

The majority of French-speaking Quebecois voted 'oui'. Unfortunately, not by enough of a majority to counter the almost unanimous 'non' from the Anglophones, who have long been the root of problems in the historically French-speaking area. Also, there were allegations at the time that the government of Canada violated laws through incentives, including "Unity price" fares to get people who are citizens of Quebec, but living elsewhere in Canada, to get back to Quebec and vote in the referendum...

Texas constantly gets bagged on for high school graduation rates. When 80 percent of the students in the southern counties and big pockets of urban areas don't speak ten words of English, it brings the averages way down.

My State is California and it sucks purely because of dumb-ass Liberals who have wrecked it, top to bottom. front to back.

Good idea. Texas rocks because....... uh....... hmmmm.........

We have lots of rocks here. But the rocky mountain states have more. That sucks. And the rocky New England shores? Crap. What about West Virginia..... Oh hell, I give up.

OK, Mr. V. I tried as hard as I could to show why my state rocks, but in the end, it only proved that my state sucks. Take your bad ideas elsewhere. :mrgreen:
