Hey Fred. I have just one thing to say to you.... Wait, make that quite a few things. You are a horrible monster, and just the opposite of the kind of person Jesus wants us all to be. You are also a heretic. Do you know what they did with heretics during the Spanish Inquisition? They stuck red hot pokers up their asses. They should be doing that to you. Why? Because you ****ing deserve it. You are scum. You are the kind of scum that the world will not shed a tear over, when you die.

How old are you? Pretty old, and it won't be much longer before you stand before God in shame, and God sends you below, where you belong. But you know what? Unlike you, I will support your right to be the complete asshole you are, because this is America, where even the lowest of the low pond scum get to voice their opinions. Too bad you don't give the same consideration to a ****ing nine year old girl. Well guess what? She is in Heaven, and when you die, you won't get to meet her.

Finally, I like to think that God has a sense of ironic humor, and he will say with a laugh, as he sends you below, "God Hates F*******". No, the asterisks don't mean "fags". They mean Fred Phelps.

These people are a joke. The only reason they're still around is because they live in the only nation on Earth that allows this level of freedom of speech. As long as they don't turn violent, which they won't as they believe that punishment is in the hands of God alone, I say we ignore them so that they don't get the publicity they crave. They not only crave it, they need it to keep the money flowing in. I can't count how many lawsuits they've brought down on anyone who's tried to silence them over the years.

As much as I hate Westboro, the fact is its just another version of Christainity among thousands, no more right or wrong than the other thousands. Christains project their own views of the world onto god. Eg. A person who views homosexuality is wrong will believe that god also believes it is wrong, as person who is more tolerant of homosexuality will believe in a god that is also more tolerant. And so forth. People project god/s in their own image.

Westboro believe in an asshole god, because they are assholes. But it is still a valid sect of christainity as any other - just not mainstream.

Just when I think these people cannot astonish me further with their hate, they manage to top themselves. This is so appalling I am all but speechless.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life...

I've always praised the United States for its freedom of speech protections, but they're by no means exclusive. The US is certainly not the only nation that would allow them to speak what they do.

I've gotta give em at least an infinitesimal amount of respect, since, regardless of what you think of them, they sure have taken a literal stand on some aspects of the Bible.

Don't even try to dillute what you're attempting to do here. You are trying to associate these people with all other Christians by making them seem just slightly off.

And there's why they don't have any respect at all from me, they pick and choose, suiting the bible to their beliefs, not their beliefs to the bible.

Also, Wesboro lies. They claim "she was taught to hate God and mock His servants from the womb".

I not attempting to say they are slightly off. I am just saying that it they believe in a god with similar believes that themselves. AS you, american believe in a god with your particular beliefs. They interpret the bible they way they do, they pick and choose, just like any other christain sect.

Every sect believes they have it right, they can't all be right. No sect is right or wrong, and that includes Westboro. The church you go to american is no more right or wrong than Westboro on the evidence stakes.

I'm not condoning what they do, but there is ALOT of passages to support their viewpoint in the bible.

Their actions and focus are utterly unrelated to anything to do with authentic Christianity. They are NOT a legitimate Christian denomination. "By their fruits you will know them," "He who says he is in Christ, and hate his brother, is a liar and the truth is not in him."

They belive in the divinity of Christ, they're Christians.

Come to think of it they are quite lot of churches like that, just not as vocal. There are many sects that believe if you don't belong to their church you are going to hell. If you don't speak in tongues, you are going to hell. If you don't believe in A, B or C, you are going to hell. Alot of Christainity sects are a exclusive belief system. Believe in what we believe or fry.

I think Westboro is more wrong than other christians. I know plenty of people who hold a christian faith that is not all ****ed in the head like this one.

But the more important issue is that the vast majority of Christians denounce them, and denounce them in no uncertain terms.

How can you say its more wrong....or more right for that matter? Unless you conversed with the almighty himself/herself/self and asked him/her/its opinion on these matters? That is all christainity (or any other religion) is...guesswork - you wonder why there is thousands of denominations and sects?

For all we know "God" could be nodding down at Westboro and saying "these guys get me".

I disagree with Westboro from my own moral standpoint, but not a divine standpoint because I could not possibly comment what a god/gods desire is...no can any other person. That's why people can't say they are not "REAL" christains, because even they disagree among themsevles what REAL christainity even means.
