Funny thing though....she is absolutely right. Bill Cosby did a lot to educate ignorant Americans that there really are black families that aren't the stereotypes that you see perpetuated in the military. Couric is correct in her assessment that those same ignorant Americans could use some education that the vast majority of muslims are not the "terrorists" that the right-wing would have you believe.

And it's bound to be better than all the reality TV shows we have now combined.

while we're at it, let's have a gay Cosby show. it could star Rosie O'donnel and Ellen Degeneres. Justin Bieber and Nick Jonas could play their sons and they could have George Takei be the gay uncle next door.

Ya think Katie Couric still wonders why here ratings are so crappy?

The Cosby show did all that? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatver!!!!

She kind of has a point. When a lot of people picture muslims they picture something like this.

But at least she asks the hard hitting questions. Such as "What do you read" :2razz:

Yeah, that's one of those purtinate questions that American are dieing to know.

And a TV show is going to make all that go away.

And a TV show is going to make all that go away.
It won't make it go away but it might help with their image.

maybe if they stopped acting like murderous retards on CNN, THAT might help their image

It would go a long way in repairing their image, if Muslims banned together and eradicated Islamic extremism.

The, "whatcha want me to do about?", excuse doesn't cut it, anymore.

when the alleged vast majority of peaceful muslims sit back and allow a small minority of fanatics to speak for them, I can only come to 2 conclusions:

1. secretly they agree with the fanatics but just don't have the guts to admit it.

2. they are spineless cowards, afraid to stand up to the fanatics

I think that both apply, but #1 applies moreso.

i guess it could also be

#3. they are lazy and it is easier to bitch and whine about being stereotyped than it is to actually do anything about it.

Yeah, that one too.

Way to try and make a big deal out of an in passing comment....

You didn't find her comments to be... well obviously you didn't.

Imagine Redress, if she had said "We need a way to reach out to the Muslim World... how about a Christian Cosby Show to air on Al-Jeezera?"

It would go a long way towards their image if the media would quit trying to paint every Muslim as a terrorist or a nut job who supports terrorism or that people at home quit believing every negative image shown is a accurate portrayal.

The, "whatcha want me to do about?", excuse doesn't cut it, anymore.

Its not the job of Muslims to apologize for and or speak out against the whack jobs who commit terrorist acts or have violent protests and riots. Is the job of every christian to apologize for and or speak out against what Fred Phelps does or some other nut job claiming to be a christian does? Is it the job of every Catholic to apologize for and or speak out against pedophile catholic priests? Is it the job of every environmentalist or animal rights activist to apologize for and or speak out against ELF(earth liberal front) and other eco and animal rights terrorists? Is it the job of every who opposes the war in Iraq and Afghanistan to apologize for and or speak out against code, Human shield action to Iraq and other anti-war tards?
