You can't make this **** up.

Funny thing though....she is absolutely right. Bill Cosby did a lot to educate ignorant Americans that there really are black families that aren't the stereotypes that you see perpetuated in the military. Couric is correct in her assessment that those same ignorant Americans could use some education that the vast majority of muslims are not the "terrorists" that the right-wing would have you believe.

Ya think Katie Couric still wonders why here ratings are so crappy?

But at least she asks the hard hitting questions. Such as "What do you read" :2razz:
She kind of has a point. When a lot of people picture muslims they picture something like this.
It won't make it go away but it might help with their image. And a TV show is going to make all that go away.

It would go a long way in repairing their image, if Muslims banned together and eradicated Islamic extremism.
The, "whatcha want me to do about?", excuse doesn't cut it, anymore.
when the alleged vast majority of peaceful muslims sit back and allow a small minority of fanatics to speak for them, I can only come to 2 conclusions:
1. secretly they agree with the fanatics but just don't have the guts to admit it.
2. they are spineless cowards, afraid to stand up to the fanatics
I think that both apply, but #1 applies moreso.
i guess it could also be
#3. they are lazy and it is easier to bitch and whine about being stereotyped than it is to actually do anything about it.
Way to try and make a big deal out of an in passing comment....
