the people who constantly whine about corporations leaving America are generally the ones who want to tax them more and more

Conclusion: Adpst will dislike anything Obama does.

Most of the obscure won't cost much of anything compared to the extension and expansion of the Bush bonus depreciation rules. 100% bonus depreciation is going to be expensive.

The Founding fathers -- remember them - you seem to have a fetish for them -- at least for selective things they believe in ... gave Congress the power to levy a tariff... its abotu damn time we grew a pair and used it.

yeah that is a great idea until other countries retaliate and stop buying our agricultural products and turn to say Brazil which has supplanted the USA already in China.

This kind of thing is obvious to everyone. Many individuals refuse to connect the dots. Recall what one major progressive said regarding regulatory capture.

"If the government is to tell big business men how to run their business, then don't you see that big business men have to get closer to the government even than they are now? Don't you see that they must capture the government, in order not to be restrained too much by it? Must capture the government? They have already captured it."

As I've argued time and time again, Goerring was right when he described corporatism as a merger of state and corporate power. A command or a mixed economy is geared to merge the powers of industry and state.

It was over the top hyperbole when you wrote it in the afternoon and it was over the top hyperbole when I responded to it in the evening. Five hours in between did not suddenly transform garbage into gold.
