Most liberals who have become cult followers always run from the facts especially when those facts have non partisan sources attached to them. Interesting how BLS data is not accurate during the Bush years but was during the Clinton years or how the facts show when the Bush tax cuts went into effect which contradict your position. I understand how disappointing it must be for you to realize that you have been lied to but I learned that political parties lie, both of them thus you must "trust but verify." The best place to go for facts are bls.gov, bea.gov, and the U.S. Treasury Dept.which is the checkbook of the U.S.

It probably would be helpful in the future if you didn't act like a flaming leftwing ideologue and actually got the facts. You hated Reagan and Bush, got it, now what else do you have? Chicago sure gave us a great one, didn't they? 3 trillion added to the debt and 4 million more lost jobs, Thanks President Obama. Hope and change we can believe in!

People who make statements of alleged fact and then hide behind "its just my opinion" are intellectual frauds and cowards. You have never seen me teach. You were never present for a lesson. You are simply attempting to insult me because I have a different view of government that you are. It is simply childish and grossly immature for you to take this tact. There are political scientists with doctorate degrees and fifty years of experience who have the same disagreements over government that we are now having. They do not tell each other they are ignorant or do not know their profession. The act maturely and conduct themselves as adults. Is that too much to ask?

You are a teacher. I have notice that many on the right fear teachers more than most anything. The anti-intellectual crowd, I think. Though our founders were products of the enlightenment, they want to turn the switch off so they can run roughshod over the ignorant. Imo.

It really is hard discussing something with such a distorted and partian view of history and someone whose history ignores the last two years.

It also would be helpful if you took a civics course and understand who controls the purse strings and the legislation. If you are going to ignore the economic numbers, unemployment numbers, and the debt there is only one thing to do and that is accept some advice that is well known, "when a political enemy is committing suicide, get out of the way and let them."

Democrats took control of Congress in January 2007 and have controlled the legislative agenda since. In the last two years 3 trillion has been added to the debt. Since 2007 5 trillion has been added to the debt. Based upon civics, you tell me who is responsible?

You really hate almost every one of the 20th century political and governmental reforms don't you? I suspect if we were doing things your way we would still have the same government as back in the Gilded Age. I only hope that someday you make the jump necessary to get over the last 120 years and start living in the America we now have.

I see strawmen walking. If I had my way we sure wouldn't be trillions in the hole and losing to China and India when it comes to HS educations. We wouldn't have a million people in prison and 40% of black males with criminal records.

Actually I was referring to most of the political changes and reforms of the last 110 years that started with the Progressive Era of T. Roosevelt. But I think you knew that.
