Bachmann Outraged Over Made Up Cost Of Obama's India Trip (VIDEO)

**** this crazy district I live in.

Bachmann is your rep?

Pardon me, but I am going to have to laugh at you now. Sorry.

I feel for you man, I really do. How could anyone in their right mind elect this woman?

Got to love it, Obama is going to India, taking thousands with him during some very difficult times in this country when he has run up record deficits and because of so called security concerns, the American taxpayers paying for the trip have no idea how much it costs? I believe there is a double standard here but that isn't surprising. Regardless of the cost this trip sends the wrong message and what is going to be accomplished that couldn't have been done with a lot less flare?

I want the President of the United States to be safe and to be well protected but what he is doing flies in the face of logic and common sense as well as sends the wrong message except to his supporters. This man has no sense of empathy of what Americans are going through during these difficult times. Obama claims to have compassion for the fate of Americans and then does this? What message does this send to the American people? These people are acting like they are entitled to be treated like a king and queen, first Michele going to Spain and being treated like a queen and Obama now going to Indian while there are 16 million Americans unemployed. Obama supporters, you don't see a problem with this?

Is there any way Obama could have accomplished what he hopes to accomplish without such a high profile trip? This is absolutely wrong and there is no comparsion between what other President's have done. If this is the worst recession since the Great Depression what message is Obama sending to those suffering? Bill Clinton said, "I feel your pain" but Obama is oblivious to that pain.

Well, if it isn't $2 billion, then how much is it??

I bet it's more and that's why they won't tell us.

Guess to Obama it really doesn't matter as he is entitled to this trip and to be treated like a king. Doesn't really matter that millions of Americans are suffering as that doesn't affect them.

:lamo:lamo I gotta love it when you fall for a false story made-up in India. Conservatives are so gullible when it meets their liking. The detail are so outrageous that I'm surprised more people don't question them.

False stories? Tell us who is going to India and what is the purpose of the trip. How much is this trip going to cost the taxpayers? During tough economic times that is the least Obama can do.

The cost of presidential trips are always secret because security concerns.

The cost of presidential trips are always secret because security concerns.

No, they're secret, because they don't want to hear **** about how much it costs and, "security concerns", is their excuse.

Since $2 billion is the number we have, it's the number we'll go with.

Whether you believe it or not, I really don't care but I am concerned about the safety of the President, but this trip is unnessary on many fronts. There is no justification at this time for the President of the United States to take a trip to India. No one is asking for a breakdown of the details of the trip as most understand security concerns but the American taxpayer deserves to know the purpose and the cost. Too many Americans are suffering right now economically and this President is tone deaf.

White House debunks Asia trip's rumored cost - Politics - White House - msnbc.com

Cost estimates of President Barack Obama's 10-day trip to Asia remain up in the air, but they certainly are nowhere near as high as the $200 million a day some conservative critics claim, the White House said Friday.

White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer blogged that the figures, first reported by Press Trust of India and spread by U.S. media, conservative pundits and GOP politicians, have "no basis in reality" and are "wildly inflated."

Pfeiffer also quoted a Pentagon spokesman, who rebutted the notion that 34 Navy warships would be used in the trip as "comical."

I wonder how long it will take you to change your signature line regarding Bush on Jobs to make that Obama on jobs, the Worst track record on record? Interesting how you ignore the 9 million plus jobs created prior to the Democrats destroying the economy in 2008 and the recession that Bush inherited from Clinton. Very selective research on your part.

It's not true, because someone in Obama's crew says it's not true???

Well, hell! That's good enough for me! How 'bout the rest of yuz? :rofl

Let's see, if Bush put out this information would you accept it without independent verification?

That's fine with me, why not go with $2 trillion?

With the economy we have today why do you have a problem with this Administration providing a cost estimate for the trip? no one has to provide anything other than a bottomline cost? If Bush had done it would you be so unconcerned?

But, Bush wasn't The One.

The power of the desire to believe is on full display here. Something that has been debunked by every single group looking into it, and yet still some believe it simply because they want to. Gullibility is not a virtue by the way.

Certainly, why wouldn't I accept it? I would question the $200 million/day figure right off the bat. And the 34 ships? You've got to be kidding me. :lamo:lamo

Debunked by whom? The only way to debunk the 2 billion figure, is to make public the actual figure.

Shouldn't be all that tuff, what with all that transparency Obama promised.

Exactly what group has looked into it and do you think it is appropriate for the President not to tell the taxpayers how much this trip is going to cost and what is the purpose?

They want to believe its true, so therefore it is.

Have you ever heard about the new fanglled thing on the internet? I think its call .... that's right its called Google.

That cost came from the country he is visiting, Why is this President who promised transparency so silent on this issue? He has yet to be transparent on any issue which makes me question why you continue to buy his rhetoric?

No one knows how much this is going to cost and the real problem is the message it sends to the American people. He is acting like a king and in the face of the disastrous election on Tuesday this is not the time for the President to take a trip like this and not tell the people how much it is going to cost.

Have you ever heard about the new fanglled thing on the internet? I think its call .... that's right its called Google.

Yes, when you google it you get the cost from India and a statement from this country that claims the cost is wildly overstated but no further details. Again had this been Bush what would you have requested regarding the cost of this trip?
