If we find a cheap place for like 20 kids to stay I think we are goin gto go to and spend Halloween down there.

You'll have to stay outside of DC and transport in for the day. I'm taking the train from NC so I'm staying close to the Mall. It is going to bankrupt me; but I have
to do this!:2dancing:

Maybe I'm missing something, but what exactly is the attraction of this thing? It's going to be a bunch of self-satisfied yuppies sniffing their own farts and congratulating themselves on being smarter than everyone else.

Really? What a CLASSY take on things. I'm impressed. Norly.

For the most part, yes. I would just see it for some laughs, but too many liberals take it seriously.

Just like the Tea Party rallies are a bunch of angry white trash hicks pissed off that the Mexeecans are taking their jerbs, with the help of our Kenyan president. Stereotyping is fun. ;)

This self-satisfied yuppie will be there. It's one of the nice things about living in DC. It's a fun, vaguely political event without all the anger inherent in a protest. I'm sure there will be some of that, but since the rally doesn't have any ostensibly serious political message beyond "LOL at Republicans" I think that the rage will be kept to a minimum. :)

Yuppies? No, it's going to be their collage-age kids.

ironic.......

I thought you supported the Teabaggers?

Now you think they're evil and destroying American?? (because if you follow the thread and understand the meaning of the word 'ironic' that's exactly what you just said)

'Evil' is a bit harsh, just scared and not too bright. But, yes, their impotent rage and moronic talking points are destroying reasonable discussion and pragmatic solutions.

My new theory is the Tea Party is really an ingenious rebranding of the GOP and suckering the Libertarians to come over and vote with them. Like we're seeing now with the social con issues being raised as Teabagger issues, it's really just the same ol' GOP. New Coke tasted different and failed immediately. They just poured a talking point version of the GOP platform into the a New Box called Tea Party. And when a certain percentage of your base still harbors racist beliefs, it's easy to get them to come out after the election of a black President.

The joke is now that they've fired a handful of overt racists in their leadership, the whole Teabagger movement has been purged of bigots and homophobes...:roll: That's ironic. (look it up)

I disagree. I believe Palin has a moral character, its just different from mine or yours. In reality, all three of us are moral people, but we may disagree on what constitutes a moral person.

What constitutes morality changes over time, and it is a good thing most of the time. The religious part of the far right loves guilt. If it wasn't for guilt, lots of people wouldn't even go to church...then what would all those preachers do for a living?

Some folks have a sense of humor! This is going to be great fun! If it must be explained; then it isn't the event for you. Cheers!

By making over-the-top, sarcasm-filled statements? :lamo

It's CLEARLY an anti-tea party, anti-Beck rally. They look pretty foolish attempting to counter Beck's rally when it was nothing but good music, inspirational speakers and honoring those who do good things for our country.

I think it's a bad idea to allow signs, Stewart and Colbert........

no, it's an anti stupidity rally.

Why is everybody trying to play "people in a box"? Labels seriously keep us from getting to know each other at all.

This saddens me.

I need a moment.
