The 911 Hard Hat Pledge

You have no proof of this and it's pure speculation without evidence.

The evidence is in the action itself and the words of the Imam himself.

He has all the right in the world to express his opinion on the subject, even when it pierces your thin skin.
He has also worked with other religious denominations in an interfaith manner.

Sorry, all your conclusions are hyperbolic.

I understand that he has the right to state that the U.S. was an accessory to 9-11, that OBL was made in the USA, to refuse to condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization, and to call for a Sharia compliant U.S., but don't insult peoples intelligence by trying to label a clear Islamist as a moderate or this Mosque as anything more than a clear intent to incite division and burn bridges rather than build them.

He holds a different but not necessarily wrong belief.
So he is a veiled terrorist supporter?

Is it just me, or will this simply ensure that the mosque is built by Muslim contractors, thus further giving rightwing pundits the chance to complain that 'they're not even paying honest Americans to do their work'? Talk about devisive...

Oh, and what Muslims were there who were celebrating in the streets in the US? From what I recall, the vast majority were condemning the attacks and fearing a backlash - one which only now seems to be uncoiling. It seems I recall correctly.

The exception not the rule but these groups do exist even amongst the relatively moderate Muslim American Community:

No, the OP stated 'Muslims celebrated in the streets as the nation grieved like never before.' That's not Muslims celebrating 9/11 in the streets, nor is it from anywhere near when 9/11 happened. That's Muslims saying that they disagree with what they see as 'US acts of terror', nothing more.

Furthermore, the very fact that (as you agree) this group is 'the exception' is a poor reason to condemn the rest of them.

Listen, Agent Ferris, you're on my ignore list. Whenever you reply to anything I say, you're either wasting your keystrokes or committing a lie by omission (by making it look like you actually have a point worth making to which I am somehow unable to respond).

I just figured I'd point that out.

Why would you ignore anyone. Do you have a hard time handling opposing opinions?

No he is an unveiled Islamist.

He does practice Islam but the mere fact that you disagree with his opinion on the subject matter doesn't mean he's wrong.
His arguments do have some factual merit, whether you like them or not.

We don't restrict people from doing things, just because they have differing opinions on sociopolitical issues.

TED, you are so superior. Why do you waste your time responding to a ignorant bigot like me?

No it's your irrational prejudice that is the problem.

Not all Muslims are bomb happy killers, wanting to subjugate you.

You're right not all muslims are bomb happy killers. They are fighting holy war for the so called moderate muslims who quietly support them.

Qur'an:2:216 "Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you Muslims, though you dislike it. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and like a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not." [Another translation reads:] "Warfare is ordained for you."

Qur'an:4:95 "Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no injurious hurt, and those who strive hard, fighting Jihad in Allah's Cause with their wealth and lives. Allah has granted a rank higher to those who strive hard, fighting Jihad with their wealth and bodies to those who sit (at home). Unto each has Allah promised good, but He prefers Jihadists who strive hard and fight above those who sit home. He has distinguished his fighters with a huge reward."

No he practices political Islam, he is an Islamist not a secular Muslim, he is part of the problem.

A) They do not have factual merit.

B) What factual merit is there in supporting Sharia law?

Stop answering arguments I've never made, I said that he has the right to build this Mosque but that it's not right to build it. The individual does retain the right to protest the building of this Mosque and refuse to enter into a contractual agreement to build it. But let me guess, you don't really care about the rights of the individual do you? That's a rhetorical question as was made clear by your citing Title 2 of the Civil Rights Act. Oh and just so you know refusing to build this Mosque would not be a violation, because refusing to build the Mosque has no relation to places of public accommodation. Title 2 was aimed at eliminating whites only privately owned places of public accommodation and it bears no relevance whatsoever to the subject at hand.

Heh, I used to have a Muslim friend that would cook me pork products, at his restaurant.
I guess he wasn't a true Muslim.

The point is, not all Muslims follow the Koran as written.

Well, he won't get far here.
We don't do religious law.
Calm yourself.

A) They do not have factual merit.

His political arguments certainly do.

B) What factual merit is there in supporting Sharia law?

They don't but we're talking about his response to the WTC attacks and OBL.

Stop answering arguments I've never made, I said that he has the right to build this Mosque but that it's not right to build it.

In your narrow, misguided view, yes.

Then they are not good muslims. Islam by definition means submission. Muslims must submit totally to Allah. Unlike christianity muslims do not get to choose which parts of the Qu'ran to disregard. If they do they are not muslims at all.

Then they are not good muslims.

That is your opinion.
You're no authority of what is a good Muslim though.

Islam by definition means submission. Muslims must submit totally to Allah. Unlike christianity muslims do not get to choose which parts of the Qu'ran to disregard. If they do they are not muslims at all.

Christians aren't supposed to pick and choose but they do.

What do you think you're going to accomplish, making all Muslims disappear?
Fat chance.
Instead wasting all this energy bitching and moaning, you could try to get the good ones to liberalize even more.

That's Muslims saying that they disagree with what they see as 'US acts of terror', nothing more.

Bull**** they were calling for Islam to dominate America and all other religions, this group, also, supports terrorist attacks against the United States and Al-Qaeda.

How do I know who the good ones are. The Qu'ran demands that muslims deceive the non believers. Unlike christianity, Islam approves of its followers lying to infidels. So how do I know who the good ones are?

Well, he won't get far here.

We don't do religious law.
Calm yourself.

Whether he can succeed is not the issue the point is that he supports it which cleary demonstrates that he is anything but a moderate. He is part of the problem.

His political arguments certainly do.

His support for Sharia is a political argument. And no they do not, America was no an accessory to 9-11, OBL was not made in the USA, and Hamas is a terrorist organization.
They don't but we're talking about his response to the WTC attacks and OBL.

And his apologetics hold no merit.

In your narrow, misguided view, yes.

How are my views misguided and narrow? My views are based on the words and actions of specific individual, his action is one of incitement and his words are one of terrorist apologetics and pro-Sharia.

What about the Muslims I showed who 'vocally oppose them?

Bull**** they were calling for Islam to dominate America and all other religions, this group, also, supports terrorist attacks against the United States and Al-Qaeda.
Even taking that for granted, you've still failed to demonstrate that Muslims were 'celebrating in the streets'.

Would you deny that there are also many Christians who would like for Christianity to dominate America and all other religions?

Even taking that for granted,

You don't have to take that for granted it's located in the link and clearly stated in the video.

Name the mainstream Christian sect calling for the bible to replace the Constitution.
