Texas GOP Platform Advocates Criminalizing Gay Marriage, Banning Strip Clubs...

Give specific examples with proof (not rhetoric) of how gay marriage would break down society. And please don't bring raising children as that tired argument is moot considering gays can raise children even without gay marriage being legalized.
Gays shouldn't be raising kids that aren't their own. That is, unless there are no available normal couples to adopt the kids.

Too bad, they do, deal with it.

LMFAO

Define "normal".

Btw, "normal" really isn't a word you should use in a debate since it's a completely subjective term.

Normal is what most people do. Its not subjective, but defined by the science of statistics. Most agree it is withing 2 standard deviations of a bell curve.

It was normal for a time to believe the Earth was flat. Now it is normal for people to believe the Earth is round. Sorry, but normal is indeed subjective.

Not according to the US Census, which evaluated currently gay couples with currently couples. I think your statistics include folks who had done something queer at one point in their lives, but grew out of it.

For example, I smoked pot in high school, but I'm hardly a pot-head.

The 2000 census counted gay couples living together, which is only a portion of the gay community.

Not a mainstream media story.
Not a breaking news story (same "platform proposal" exists for previous years).
Not the platform on the Texas GOP wesite.
Not something worth discussing.

It's completely subjective.

For example, your avatar depicts a person who is abnormal.
Such nice asses are hard to come by.

The proposal from Republicans in the Lone Star state makes the following claims related to the party's view of homosexuality:

Ah Texas...

:peace

Criminalizing gay marriage? That's well beyond anything government may do. They may infringe upon someone's right to contract by denying the marriage contract to gay people, but that can be fought. But to throw gays into jail....no f'n way. The government is not empowered with that authority.

And there aren't. World wide there are way more orphans than people willing to adopt. Now a days couples having trouble conceiving children are more apt to take fertility drugs until they have a litter than to consider adoption. There are not enough willing homes to go around, and until there is there is no point claiming same sex couples shouldn't be allowed to adopt. We'll cross that bridge once there are not enough orphans to go around.

Most weddings are. But marriage involves a public contract.

Quite so. Marriage is a contract, officially granted and recognized by the State.

If that were true than why are there long waiting lists for wanabee parents?

By the way most couples who find themselves infertile are that way for about two years after the gal stops taking the pill. Folks seem to think fertility can be turned on and off light a light.

And it compared them with hetero-couples living together to get the most accurate percentage of active queers ever.

Which makes some assumptions that are not necessarily true.

Because in the US the adoption process is full of red tape and many people want infants, not children. There are approximately 143 million orphans world wide and not enough homes to accept them.

So the problem is with the red tape. That's not a valid reason to give queers priority for adoptions.
