Which is maybe .001% of the cost of cleaning this up. Once again, blame their lobbyists. That is only liability to fisherman though. They still have the cost of the cleanup on top of that.

That is just the cost for losses to fisherman BP will have to pay. The cost of the dealing with the spill is still born by BP. BP will have to pay to cut off that oil well and so on.

Hint: One of the duties of the Coast Guard is oil spill prevention and mitigation. You think they should pull out and leave it all to BP???

If I've read accurately, BP is responsible, financially, for all of the cleanup, but as far as the damage it does to the coastline and fishing and residents and all, it's capped at 75 million.

It is? do you have a link? I was reading how the cap for total claims and damages including cleanup was capped at 75 million.

Obama was being misleading....

I just thought you would be well informed before you started up a thread comparing this to Katrina, because, you know, it might actually help to know what you're talking about before you start throwing blame around and comparing it to Katrina.

I do give you credit though for admitting you were wrong, I didn't expect it of you and I was wrong on that part. However, I don't expect any amount of factual information to stop you from doing everything in your power from trying to come up with stuff to blame on Obama. I don't think I'll be wrong on that.

We haven't even seen the full effects of this oil spill but we can be sure that's it's comparable to the worst natural disaster in the history of the country? Is that really what you're saying?

Is anyone surprised that the "blame Obama like the liberals blamed Bush for Katrina" line has already emerged? I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.
