In recent weeks, Ford Motor Co. and Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, the home of the auto industry, have worked to shield some manufacturers from some proposed regulations on the derivatives market. Meanwhile, the auto dealers lobby is fighting to exempt its members from oversight by a new consumer protection regulator for financial products.
And they come as various kinds of non-financial businesses across the United States are trying to avoid getting swept up in legislation they say should target only Wall Street financial institutions.
What a load of horse****! The auto lobby realizes its a bad cluster**** of a bill so they only want it to be forced on Wall Street. I ****ing hate corporatism.
