NorfolkVA judge orders website shut down

No, the website author is not oppressing Burfoot's freedom of speech. It is the same as Burfoot's political opponent bashing him during election time. That's all we heard when Obama and McCain were running against each other. It was thick. The Campaign Finance Reform Bill was a violation of freedom of speech.

Hey, we agree!

Looks to me like 90% of the US population live in a zone where the Constitution does not apply. How does that make the constitutionalists feel?

The constitution is mostly for the rich. I can't tell the ****ing difference cause I'm not rich.:)

It's what we're doing right now!

The President has a right to criticize what others say. It's part of his job. What, he's supposed to say nothing about the issues just because he disagrees with someone who said so first?

You have got to be kidding. How desperately pathetic can you get?

But Obama acts like we don't have the right to criticize him.

But Obama acts like we don't have the right to criticize him.

He does? When?

Maybe he just, like, disagrees with the criticism?

When he tries to use his government power to silence critics, let us know. Until then, this is just another lame, desperate, non-issue.

Dittohead not! did the research on those. Thanks. And here's a graphic showing exactly where the Constitution-free zones are.

Looks like this includes Houston. I no wonder my Ron Paul bumper sticker pisses everyone off. Yea, that's right. I still have it on my car. LOL.

Here's a good gag. Dress up like a bum, go to the corner of Main and Rusk in downtown Houston, and ask people for "Spare Constitution, please".

Norfolk judge orders anti-Burfoot website taken down | HamptonRoads.com | PilotOnline.com

"A judge Wednesday forced the removal of a website attacking Vice Mayor Anthony Burfoot and the city's treatment of downtown clubs.

Circuit Court Judge Charles E. Poston ordered an immediate removal of the website May4thCounts.com, stating that other legal action "is not adequate under the particular circumstances of this case."

GoDaddy.com, the site's host, removed the content later in the day.

The website appeared last week, about a month before City Council elections. Burfoot, a target of the website, brought the suit in Circuit Court."

This is my hometown. I am ashamed of it. Talk about suppression of free speech combined with ugly politics! This story should go national soon.

There needs to be an appeal. The appellete court will overturn the ruling of a dishonest judge who is obviously in burfoot's pocket.

Then Burfoot and his judge butt-buddy can be sued for infringing on the site author's 1st Amendment rights.

You forget that the President is the Chief Executive Officer of the land who is supposed to carry out the laws enacted by Congress (House and Senate). Since the Dems have the majority in both houses, who is to say they won't pass the Fairness Doctrine or try to pass a law to repeal the Second Amendment?

NEWS FLASH.... the Arictles of the constitution CANNOT be repealed.

If anybody read the comments at the end of the article you will notice that the people were really pissed at the judge.

The judge even admitted in his vacating order that the virginia constitution would not hold up his decision.

It's time for that judge to be disbarred and removed from office.

Aw, come on now bike. I know you are a lot smarter than that.:(

There are some serious issues involved here.

I did not know, for example that a lowly city circuit court judge could shut down an internet site for no valid reasons that I can see.

I can't wait to see how this plays out. It is going to be a huge can of worms about corrupt government. If they be liberal democrats who are guilty, amen.,

It's time for Burfoot and his cronies (including a corrupt judge) to serve 25 years without parole.

Please tell us what part of socialist theory involves clamping down on free speech? Last I checked this was pretty common regardless of political leaning. You know what? Why don't you just do us all a favor and drive your bike on one of those streets built by socialism?

Facist and Communist theory involves clamping down on free speech and PBO is a cross between the two.
