Stockton cop earns $100K in Overtime!!!

From my OWN experience (was I saw and what was told to me) Their overtime is laughable. (sitting in court doing nothing for hours on end just to represent the department and/or testify.... or be a desk jockey... or walk around carnivals run by the township.... etc)
The money is there for the taking.... so they took it. BUT..... they didnt get paid NEARLY the amount the cop in the article did. She made $15K more a year unlike the women in the article.

What Im saying is, they paid that lady far far far far too much money for overtime. Her base pay is insane unto itself. Also realize the vacations and they get the best healthcare for free and they get a HUGE pension.
Once again..... the unions are taking advantage on the tax payers. And there and 3 year waiting lists to become a cop in my locality that are paid half the amount of said perp..... errrr.... cop in the article. And not because its the 'honerable' job to get. Its a damn great job to have for certain personality types. (Type A)

And yes, I have dated my fair share of women. And I suppose you can compare my previous post because they were both union jobs where they are over paid for what they do BUT my fiance wasnt overpaid. I dont think she should get a pension though.

Folks at banks.....

I also free ANY single mother/father should not have to pay any taxes if their income is less than $45K/year

EMT's
chefs / sous chefs
Social Workers & some counsilors
Depending on location - Police
mechanics
bussers

I doubt this cop was sitting on her ass. Overtime, in most departments, is a highly competitive gig. People want it, because in most departments, cops aren't paid very well. And, Stockton, up until the housing bubble burst recently, was a very expensive place to live plus dangerous.

This is your second thread on how people in certain fields are overpaid. Are you willing to move to Stockton and chase mexican drug gangs around?

1. You claim she wasn't working and didn't earn the money. The article clearly states she did. Prove your point.

2. Indeed. Less desirable overtime assignments probably abound in a place like Stockton.

3. Your commitment to constitutional principles is laughable. Please don't ever work in law enforcement.

1. figure out how much overtime was neccessary to get to that amount and then refer to my background I described.

2. why do people in public safety work for beans in some areas? And i wil BET you a pizza (2 toppings max) that there is a looong waiting list for a job there.

3a. when did liberals give a **** about the Constitution?

1. Your "background" is based upon one anecdotal experience with an unnamed person in an unnamed police department in an entirely different region of the U.S. with a completely different crime problem.

It largely depends upon the local cost of living. As far as waiting lists for jobs in Stockton, it is frequently cheaper to pay an existing officer overtime than to train, equip, and hire a new officer, including paying for benefits and fringe.

Why would we want to give them that kind of credibility? They're drug dealers. The main problem with your plan is that officer-involved shootings can actually be quite dangerous. The risk of shooting someone else and/or of mistaken identity makes your plan unfeasible.

Im sorry I used my own personal experiences, gathered while dating, to furthur my knowledge and also to share said knowledge with others so they may also at least take into consideration of my experiance which I am sorry for sharing.
I shall use blogs and Sean Hannity along with Lisa Maddow if I need to refer to a sitation now.
