BBC News - Political fallout of Moscow's Metro bombings

For me the most relevant sentence in this article is the one hilighted below:-

Quote from article(Top political figures - like Mr Putin - are no longer immune from criticism, and public distrust in the government is now widespread.

As one observer gloomily puts it in Moscow Komsomolets, the main lesson to be drawn from this tragedy is that the authorities and people exist separately.

"People should rely only on themselves, because the government is unable to protect them," it concluded.
)

For all the manly shows that Putin has displayed, it comes down to this, people do not trust their Government.

Strange how this type of distrust ranges worldwide?

Putin is a nazi asshole who needs to be barred from politics. The same goes for his puppet, Medvedev.

Putin is a conniving little rodent.

Not really the majority of the people are the same worldwide. Trusting the government is a very hard thing to do because they do not represent the majority of the people.

Also this will be forgotten by the Russians' just wait.
