55% Favor Repeal of Health Care Bill

Of course people don't like this bill, there is no public option and it requires people to buy health insurance from corporate America. SOME of this bill I like though... But our government could have written a much better bill.
It could have but at the same time, obviously, couldn't. I mean they have the power to have created a better Bill for the American People however, that would not have been good for Insurance companies and some ancillary industries.

So the best they could do is a Bill with a little for both of the governments constituents (the People and Special Interests).

Not good news for Obama socialist health care......

55% Favor Repeal of Health Care Bill - Rasmussen Reports

March 25 2010

Just before the House of Representatives passed sweeping health care legislation last Sunday, 41% of voters nationwide favored the legislation while 54% were opposed. Now that President Obama has signed the legislation into law, most voters want to see it repealed.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on the first two nights after the president signed the bill, shows that 55% favor repealing the legislation. Forty-two percent (42%) oppose repeal. Those figures include 46% who Strongly Favor repeal and 35% who Strongly Oppose it.

In terms of Election 2010, 52% say they’d vote for a candidate who favors repeal over one who does not. Forty-one percent (41%) would cast their vote for someone who opposes repeal.

Not surprisingly, Republicans overwhelmingly favor repeal while most Democrats are opposed. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 59% favor repeal, and 35% are against it.

Most senior citizens (59%) also favor repeal. Earlier, voters over 65 had been more opposed to the health care plan than younger adults. Seniors use the health care system more than anyone else

Wake up and smell the coffee, there will be no repealing of this Bill. Get over it.

I agree however much NP growls and storms, should any GOP run for office in 2010 on the premise they will call for this act to be repealed they will likely lose in their attempt.

Bring it on!!!!! If Repubs think running on repeal is the way to go (even if its somewhere between very impractical and almost impossible) let them. Once again, a party without positive issues. Though I love the irony of the Republicans running on a platform that advocates health care reform.

Only 55% and that coming from the rights favourite polling institute (for the most part)? Tsk, they could have padded the numbers better if you ask me.

In a week or two the numbers will be very different, and in a month or two even more different.. and I dont expect it to go up, but down.

Yeh, it's a ****ing conspiracy and they made up the data, that's always the case when the numbers don't fall like you want them too  .

based on what?

SEN. JON KYL: Our view is that we should repeal and replace the bill with the solutions that we think actually work. Obviously, the president will not sign a repeal bill that the Congress passes, so that's more of a symbol.

It's also a bit unrealistic and I think mathematically impossible for Republicans to take enough seats in the fall elections to gain a 2/3's majority in the congress.

So in essence, we're stuck with yet another bloated government welfare program. Thanks for nothing!!!

What planet are you from? Oh wait the UK. that explains it.......Rasmussen has continually been the most accurate polling agency there is....You really need to keep up......

Is that why you claimed that "Rassussen is a left wing pollster that only polls liberals"...when they post a poll that you disagree with?

Its called sensible health care reform where its paid for and not just pie in the sky........

I wonder how they like their socialist Medicare.

I remember that debate. I was a kid when that was passed, but I remember all the rancor over that. A few people were calling some members of Congress Soviet stooges. LOL.

It's better than another bloated corporate welfare program. Oh wait, it's that too... :doh

To be fair though, the predictions of deficits, inefficiencies, problematic administration, etc. have come true.

Come November the democrats are going to regret the day they shoved Obama Socialist Health Care down our throats...At first I thought the Republicans had a good chance to pick up many seats in both the house and the senate, now I think if they play their cards right they can win the majority in both houses..........

I have never seen the American people so pissed off at one party over and issue like this.......

People are also fickle.

Expect results to continuously change.

They will keep changing.

Also, liberals here do not like me too much.
