Vice President Biden Sums Up Health Care Reform Legislation: 'This is a Big F-ing Dea

Re: Vice President Biden Sums Up Health Care Reform Legislation: 'This is a Big F-ing

Biden should not have dropped the f bomb. It's immature and unprofessional. It's vulgar speech and it's shameful for our vice president to talk that way, especially on air. I think a man's words reflect his character.

I would agree with you if he was using this word in a negative manner. For example, I thought Cheney telling Leahy to go F yourself showed horrible character. But someone saying the F word in this situation does not bother me and, in my opinion, does not speak negatively about his character. If he used the F word regularly, I would feel differently, but this is the first time I have seen him use it publicly. It's human to swear.

I have a different perspective. I don't believe the VP should be dropping "F" bombs at public appearances. Biden is an embarrasment to Obama.

Oh brother.

Not after he got his ass handed to him by a newbie debater.

You thought she debated well? I thought that was part of what sunk the McCain/Palin ticket. Winking constantly isn't very vice presidential, if you ask me.

It wouldn't matter if it were Bush, Obama, Biden, Palin, Clinton (take your pick), Reagan, FDR or Lincoln, a President or VP shouldn't drop f-bombs in public. It's not presidential. I don't think Biden should be impeached for it, but I think he should strive not to do that again. I trust Obama has already said as much to him in private.

I agree since he has used the F word constantly since January 2009. Jesus Christ. Lighten up.

What do you mean "lighten up"? I basically said it's not a huge deal but he shouldn't do it again. Maybe you should "lighten up".

I don't agree that it showed "horrible character" but I stand by my statement that Presidents and VP's should have a more distinguished vocabulary.

Re: Vice President Biden Sums Up Health Care Reform Legislation: 'This is a Big F-ing

While I agree with you, there is a time and place for certain words. I am not sure that it was the place to be dropping the bomb.

Its not a bomb..... its a word.

Re: Vice President Biden Sums Up Health Care Reform Legislation: 'This is a Big F-ing

Obama is an embarrassment to the USA, Biden merely apes his master.

RACIST! You said Obama and Ape in the same sentence!!!

Those who are illiterate have a habit of using profanity as they have no knowledge of how to express themselves in any other civilized manner.

Its a manner of expressing yourself that everyone understands...

It has nothing to do with illiteracy.

In fact one of the most important factors in communications is to get the message across and make sure it is understood.

I can use fancy terms to convey my message and have it not understood.

Or I can say.

"This is a big ****ing deal!!!"

In private the conversation probably went like this..

Obama: What the **** man? What the **** were you thinking?

Biden: I don't know Sir, what can I say, I ****ed up. I won't ****ing let it happen again.

Obama: Don't **** up!
