Oh....its over.

Wishful thinking. The courts are the least of progressives worries. Now the wonderful backlash begins as a referendum of corruption, greed and payoffs to the insurance company's who up until now, were pure evil.

The entertainment has only begun my friend. Plug your ears and shout at the top of your lungs for the next 8 months. :2wave:

So why don't you display your excellent knowledge of the constitution and show me where this bill is unconstitutional.

Next, use those same powers to find the constitutional justification for the United States Air Force.

The Constitution is a list of things the federal government is ALLOWED to... so ... so your concept of the constitution dead wrong..

1. It is not provided for in the consitution so it is a State issue.. simple enough for ya' I could dumb it down a little if necessary..

2. General defense... gee you could at LEAST read the first paragragh!:rofl

...........GO FISH!:2wave:

Eh....yes...the right-wing wackos are going to scream for the next 8 months and hopefully the American people will see them for what they are.

1: There is no power listed in the Powers of Congreess that allow it to create such a program. THus, its creation violates the 10th amendment

2: The Power to raise and support armie. The USAF is an air army.
Absent that, the USAF was part odf the army, abs could be absorbed back in.

If you were any sort of capitalist, you would not support this lates power grab by the Federal government.

Bingo. Well said.

Next up on Obama's power grab: Cap and Trade.

Yet I am, and I do. Here's a crazy idea - maybe you don't know what you're talking about.

Here's a hint - the private sector companies (insurance) are loving it.

Two things: when the government is forcing citizens to buy insurance, of course they'll love, temporarily. Just wait until the taxes hit. Then ask yourself how much the private industry is 'loving' it. How's that unemployment working for socialist Obama?

Bingo. Well said.

He doesn't get to decide what I consider to be sufficiently capitalist or not. I do.

I could just as easily take the absurd position that a REAL capitalist would want to abolish all government.

They knew exactly what was in the bill, including the taxes. Did they support it, or not? You tell me.

See them as "RIGHT" about this issue? I certainly hope so.

Who is "They"?

And do you know you state your opinion like a fact? Because you can't prove by giving evidence, that "THEY" (whomever that is) knew anything.... you have that "pull nonsense out of your ass" routine down well.

Who is "They"?

Gosh, do you want me to be more specific? Imagine that.

They = the insurance companies. Just read the thread.

I didn't state an opinion, I asked a question.

You sure do like to cover your short-comings with trash talk though.

I hope so. I think the tea party has come across as wacko, and I hope that continues. I think they should be seen, often.

Yeah true patriots and against socialist state.........

Because RepubliKKKans, unlike Democrats know that once you open the door to corporate regulation , like this softball of a bill, then you open the floodgates to pure democratic society.

Yeah true patriots and against socialist state.........

Don't play the patriotism card. Patriotism is more or less pejoratively used to argue superficial points. Huge straw man arguments like " Oh, so you are for massive government take over?" are almost always used in tandem with this ever so elusive term.

I am clueless as to what the hell you are talking about?

Let me simplify for the close minded.

Patriotism is the easiest and most convenient way ever invented to rally people behind a cause. IE) Nazi Germany-- I'm "German" before I'm poor. People have a penchant for being part of things larger than themselves, and if you're a patriot, who's gonna mess with you? USA!USA!USA!

Yeah true patriots and against socialist state.........

Only in the fantasyland of the far-right...

Meanwhile, back on planet earth, it's a pack of uneducated rubes guzzling down the red kool-aide while trying to hide their closet bigotry and homophobia...

Oops, a little bit of the bigotry and homophobia slipped out this weekend...

I am clueless as to what the hell you are talking about?

"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."

-Samuel Johnson

The patriotism card is the right wing version of the race card.

"The patriotism card is the right wing version of the race card.

Patriotism is subjective.. for instance Obama would be a patriot in ... I
don'know... CUBA? Certainly NOT the US... remember he thinks it needs fundamental "change"!:doh

He'd be a civic nationalist for sure in the U.S.

Just not an ethno nationalist
