CNN poll: 52% say Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012

Re: Only 44% say they would vote Obama in 2012

Chris Hecht (R) won in Nevada
Paul Trible (R) won in Virginia
Frank Lautenberg (D) won in New Jersey
Jeff Bingaman (D) won in New Mexico

Which race am i missing here?

Check out the makeup of the 97th and 98th Congress.

Rather irrelevant however when the issue is Reaganomics vs. obamanomics. Which one benefits the private sector and thus the majority in this country more.

It has only been obvious for some time now that he would fail. This country is just not going to put up with a left-winger (aka Progressive) precisely because hard left policy cannot succeed. It cannot provide what the mainstream of America ultimately needs and desires.

The ultimate test of whether or not the President is really a Progressive will be by seeing what he does if the Republicans win back control of Congress. If he holds some level of moderation, he will compromise like Clinton did. But if he is a true Progressive, he will fight them until his last day in office. So give this guy a Democrat Congress, and watch him continue to fail.

Re: Only 44% say they would vote Obama in 2012

You of all people should support Obama . After all he is finally going after terrorists in Afghanistan. He is doing what Bush should have done 7 years ago.

and I support where I think he has gone right on Afghanistan. I wish he had given Gen McCrystal all of what he asked for as opposed to 3/4ths, but am glad he's still willing to use drone attacks and a surge strategy.

It is way too early to judge Obama. It is only the start of his second year.

he has done (and tried to do) plenty enough in the first year that we can begin to judge him as a president. from soft-balling Iran (for which i judge Bush as well), to that disaster of a "stimulus" package, to cap-and-tax, to taking over the banks, car companies, and so forth, to the general instability that he fosters, there is plenty to establish what kind of president he is.

It is not 1980. If the economy starts turning around in a couple of years no one will have a chance against Obama.

obama's own (usually rosier than reality) predictions are that unemployment will remain high, and his actions seem almost calculated to hurt the private sector at the expense of the public one. i'm serious when i say republicans could run Palin and win in 2012.

Yes, they could run Palin, and the Democrats are no doubt hoping that they do. Win? Well, that's another matter. They stand a much better chance of winning with a viable candidate.

Hey, worked for the Democrats in 2008 as they ran the most unqualified individual ever to campaign for the office of the Presidency and win it. We are all paying the price for that decision now.

It did, didn't it? So, does that mean that the Republicans are to blame for Obama having been elected despite lacking the experience needed to be a successful president?

Palin should run for the senate from Alaska...She would be a cinch to win........

The Republicans underestimated Obama as the Democrats did Reagan in 1980

There is a lot of blame going around, Republicans for nominating McCain, millions voting for Obama based upon his rhetoric without having any substance, Blacks simply because he was black.

Who do you blame for electing GWB?

Re: Only 44% say they would vote Obama in 2012

Who do you blame for electing GWB?

GW Bush is out of office and I would take him back in a heartbeat. Get the facts before spouting the media created spin. GW Bush vs. Gore? GW Bush vs. Kerry? McCain vs. Obama? Hmmm, the choice seems clear to me, Bush and McCain.

By the way, you have a great screen name for fiction and fantasy.

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

This is exactly why we keep electing the worst people possible. People like you settle for mediocrity.

You ignored the choices that we had. Bush vs Obama? Hmmm, wonder who people who pay attention to results would choose?

But you were happy with the way Bush took care of our country.

Results?
Bush presided over the worst attack on US soil in history.
Bush started a costly war in Iraq when Iraq was not a threat to our security.
Bush left the economy in shambles.
Bush doubled the debt.

Yeah those are results you can be proud of.

re-read the OP. against Obama in 2012, the only non-viable candidate would be a Ron Paul - type.

So, the most likely conclusion is that we're totally screwed. Oh well, I suspected that all along anyway.

I think I'll vote for Voldemort again. Why vote for the lesser of the evils?

USA-1;1058576398]But you were happy with the way Bush took care of our country.

Bush presided over the worst attack on US soil in history.

An attack planned and warned about during the Clinton years, a little fact that escapes you and one that Bush couldn't have legally prevented. He had just come off the closest election in history and to close down the security loopholes at the airports would have been attacked by people like you and the ACLU

Bush started a costly war in Iraq when Iraq was not a threat to our security.

Costly war with Iraq what was building since the Gulf War. Hindsight is always 20/20 but Saddam Hussein is dead as are his evil sons who all supported and funded terrorism

Bush left the economy in shambles.

46 straight months of positive to strong economic growth is hardly shambles. an almost 5 trillion dollar GDP growth happened during his term. Democrats took control of Congress in January 2007 and the recession we are now in began in December 2007

Bush doubled the debt.

Bush had a lot of help as Democrats controlled the purse strings since January 2007. Barack Obama voted for all the spending that occurred during that time frame including TARP

Yeah those are results you can be proud of.

Yep, I will take the official results from non partisan sources and the personal results that I generated during this term to your opinions and anti Bush media that gave us the disaster we now have in the WH

You really do live in your own little dream world don't you? :rofl

It was growth fueled by debt. The recession was caused by the democrats taking control of congress? You have to be kidding. :rofl
It is obvious you have been brainwashed, so I am done here. I can not debate ignorance.

It really is hard dealing with ideologues who don't want objective data to cloud their own partisanship. You prefer buying what you are told and refuse to do your own research as well as looking at your own personal economic data

The facts are there for all to see. BEA.gov provides economic data as well as information on govt. spending and revenue.

It really doesn't matter what evidence anyone provides to you as your mind is made up. How did the Bush economy hurt you or your family?

I had three family members in Iraq including one in Military intelligence. All came back saying we did the right thing so you tell me who I am to believe?

When did it become the job of the president to take care of our country?
