Tea partiers are right wing nut jobs and aren't even remotely libertarian.
 
The only thing I see so far is that its been hijacked by the republicans and Glenn beck. Dont get me wrong I want the republicans to, Re-emerge as the party of," AMERICANISM- National manufactureing". I dont want them doing the same thing that, "Ralph Reed Done to the evangelicals",- Make them a,"PAC".
The reason is because we need institutions free from ,"The two party illness", currently affecting the Health of this nation. My God the partys become the TICK of populisim. Ick, we are; parasites of, grass roots activisim. Void of any
original substance of our own. So, OK Tea partiers. on 3.-.1.2.3. NO! To the
disease of incumbency.

Sometimes nothing, sometimes a lot. Again, there is no one single entity that is "them".

EDIT: Nor is there one single entity that is "the current Republican Party".

My best guess is that America is fighting against more taxes just like back in the Boston Tea Party. We just don't want government spending and expecting us to pay pay for what bills are passed where we have no say.

Hence the rallies and the protestors from all walks of life and all party affiliation.

A large percentage of this bunch that yells and hollars and carries on about socialism and big government, does not even know what socialism really is "keep your goddamn government hands out of my Medicare" and no has idea what their government actually spends their money on. For that matter, in many cases its not even their money, as they don't even make enough money to pay federal income taxes.

Thus these willfully ignorant dolts are running primary opponents against the poster-child for a small and limited government.

As a libertarian, I strongly favor tax cuts; but currently, I'll oppose them until we get spending under control. So until then, the best remedy for our budget crisis is to cut spending and to cut it deep. Once we've brought spending under control and made a significant dent in our debt, then we can discuss tax cuts; but not before then.

So if the Tea Party set wishes to do something constructive, they should drop the tax cut bit and adopt spending cuts.

I agree with you on getting spending under control. It's first and foremost next to creating jobs right now.

PF is okay. Lots of new members. I miss some people here that never post over there;)

I better get to posting. I have less than 100 posts here and over 7900 over there. It's hard being a newbie!

To get back on topic, why are the tea-baggers against Paul? Is it because of his ideologies? That would have nothing to do with taxes. I must be missing something. I guess I am a bit tired tonight.

They like a lot of his fiscal message, but when he starts talking about ending the war on drugs or adopting a non-interventionist foreign policy, they get turned off.

What the Tea Party set has to remember, is that Ron Paul is a libertarian. He's not a conservative and he's not a right winger. Something they tend to forget.
