Obama State of the Union

It is hard being angry when everything I predicted before the election is coming true. Fortunately I will survive the Obama Presidency unlike many others here. I have to laugh at the cult followers who bought the rhetoric and ignored the resume. You got exactly who I said you would get, an empty suit unqualified to be President.

You are a legend in your mind.

Is that what your partisan crystal ball shows you?

President Obama now says he's 'agnostic' on possible taxe hikes for households below $250K a year

WASHINGTON - President Obama says he is now "agnostic" about raising taxes on households making under $250,000 a year to help cut budget deficits, signaling a possible retreat from a campaign pledge.

In an interview with Bloomberg BusinessWeek on newsstands Friday, Obama said a presidential budget commission needs to look at all options for deficit reduction - including tax increases and cuts in spending on such programs as Social Security and Medicare.

"The whole point of it is to make sure that all ideas are on the table," Obama said. "So what I want to do is to be completely agnostic, in terms of solutions."

Obama repeatedly vowed during the 2008 campaign to spare households earning less than $250,000 a year from tax increases.

Obama Making Plans to Use Executive Power - NYTimes.com

With much of his legislative agenda stalled in Congress, President Obama and his team are preparing an array of actions using his executive power to advance energy, environmental, fiscal and other domestic policy priorities.

Mr. Obama has not given up hope of progress on Capitol Hill, aides said, and has scheduled a session with Republican leaders on health care later this month. But in the aftermath of a special election in Massachusetts that cost Democrats unilateral control of the Senate, the White House is getting ready to act on its own in the face of partisan gridlock heading into the midterm campaign.

“We are reviewing a list of presidential executive orders and directives to get the job done across a front of issues,” said Rahm Emanuel, the White House chief of staff.

It is a good idea. It will pay for the two unconstitutional wars we are engaged in.

You mean the wars that the Democrats voted for and thus authorized? By the way how much is the cost of those wars to the taxpayer, actual cost, not leftwing blog costs?

Your priorities? Higher unemployment, low economic growth in the private sector, greater debt, bigger military budget, but what the hell, we are going to get gays in the military, you must be so proud.

Your empty suit hasn't delivered on one campaign promise so not sure what you are talking about when you claim he is addressing most of your priorities. He is still campaigning and doesn't know how to lead.

The rate of growth for job losses has decreased under Obama, the market has improved, banks are no longer on the verge of collapse. He has invested in education and green jobs, and he has done more to protect our environment than any other president in history!

I think that is pretty damn impressive for a moderate politician in his first year following a near depression! Certainly more than I expected him to accomplish.

But than I never bought into the whole walks on water thing where he was supposed to solve all the world's problems in his first term. I am excited to see how much more he will accomplish in his remaining 7 years.

Makes sense to me!

Nice rant. The dow is struggling to stay above 10,000 that is not good.

we are still losing hundreds of thousands of jobs a month.

When Bush was doing good the dem's said how bad the economy is. Now with Obama they are trying to put a good face on Obama'e failed policies.

That is the hypocrisy of the left.

Really, how many dropped out of the job market? Do you really think over 15 million is acceptable?

Before nominating him for Sainthood, he has been in office one year, tripled the deficit, will add another 1.6 trillion this year along with thousands more to the role of unemployment. Green jobs don't create jobs, they destroy other industries therefore any job creation is offset by job losses.

Were you in a depression before Obama took office and if so what exactly did he do to get you out of it. It really is a shame that you need a President to help you out of a personal situation that you created.

But than I never bought into the whole walks on water thing where he was supposed to solve all the world's problems in his first term. I am excited to see how much more he will accomplish in his remaining 7 years
.

I am so happy for you and your joy. Too bad it is misguided, misdirected, and coming from someone who hasn't a clue. He hasn't accomplished a thing in 1 year. Maybe you ought to check out his poll numbers as you are in a minority.

The war that bush lied about, you mean.

The war that bush lied about, you mean.

Throughout the campaign I heard how dumb Bush was, now you want me to believe he was so smart that he fooled 76 Senators to vote for the war and obviously created all that evidence that the Senators had before they voted, created the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 while Governor of TX, forced Saddam Hussein to break all those UN Resolutions including the one that ended the Gulf War, even before he was Governor of TX. I find it absolutely incredible that someone so dumb could do all that he did.

Amazing how all those political leaders and foreign intelligence services were also fooled by Bush. Every intelligence agency in the world believed Saddam Hussein had WMD.

The dow is struggling to stay above 10,000 that is not good.

Its better than it was when Obama took over.

we are still losing hundreds of thousands of jobs a month.

But at a lesser rate than when Obama took over.

What I know is the rate of job losses has decreased under Obama. Our financial crisis was not created overnight and it cannot be fixed overnight.

Were you in a depression before Obama took office and if so what exactly did he do to get you out of it.

Our financial situation is better now than it was before Obama.

I love how you ignore the Democratic and Obama responsibility in the financial crisis all in an attempt to regain the WH. Now this empty suit has the WH, tells you he inherited the mess, you buy it. He hasn't done a thing to make things better. Reduction in the rate of unemployment? After spending billions one would only hope, problem is there has been no reduction in unemployment, people have dropped out of the labor market and yet the numbers of people counted have grown. That to you is a success? I don't expect an answer because you cannot be honest in any answer.

Our financial situation is better now than it was before Obama.

Is that what "your" President told you? We certainly know he never lies, LOL.

Nope, that's what the facts show.

the facts show that when the GOP was in control the jobless rate was far lower than after the dems took over.

them's are the facts

“We’re still losing jobs,” said Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington. “It’s nothing like we had in the free fall of last winter, but we’re not about to turn around. We’re still looking at a really weak economy.”

You mean facts like the unemployment went from 11 million to 15 million and the deficit has tripled? But...but....but after all those billions and tripling the deficit the job losses are less. LOL, that is the liberal spin and quite comforting to the 15 million unemployed people today

Wonder why they aren't working in those green jobs? Oh, you mean there is no demand for green jobs? How can that be, "the chosen" one says differently and the cult followers agree.

Not pushing the broom fast enough to suit you huh? Now there's a big surprise.

I'm just thankful he stopped our slide into another depression and that our rate of job losses is lower than it was when he walked in the door.

What exactly did he do to stop the slide? Interesting that only the true cult followers believe that as evidenced by the Feb. 11, CBS/NY Times, hardly a rightwing new organization who posted the following

Even as the administration credits the stimulus package with creating or saving as many as 2 million jobs, just 6 percent of Americans think it has created jobs. Another 41 percent expect it will do so. However, 48 percent think it won't. These views have not changed much in recent months, but optimism about the impact of the stimulus package was much higher last summer.

So apparently you are in that 6 percent. Congratulations you are officially in a very small group of people.

Big whoop! I've never been one to base my opinions on what other people think.

You certainly have one big ego where 94 percent of the people have it wrong but you have it right. Wonder what it is that they know that you don't want to know?

One of these days you are going to realize what a fool this empty suit and a complicit media has made of you.

the facts and basic civics tells you just how wrong you are about the Bush economy, affect that Congress had on that economy, and the empty suit you voted for.
