Obama State of the Union

Again, Bush only talked about doing it, after stupidly sending troops there in the first place.

Obama is the one doing the withdrawal.

Bush will be remembered as starting a debt busting war and 7 year occupation of a country that never attacked us, and Obama will be remembered for putting an end to it. It is one of the things that help get him get reelected in 2012.

You really have BDS badly, please seek help.

Facts? Why post them, you ignore them. BLS.gov will give you those facts but they don't support your point of view so you don't care. Obama signed a 787 billion dollar stimulus program that continued to raise unemployment yet you buy the Obama rhetoric and ignore the actual facts. Hard to deal with people like you who refuse to believe what is actually happening. You are a perfect example of the problems we have with the education system in this country. It doesn't appear that you have a clue as to the role of the govt. and want it to be something it was never intended to be.

More opinion and no facts!

Do you just not care that your opinion without facts has no credibility whatsoever?

If you're going to continue emitting talking points without researching or addressing the fact that Bush signed the treaty of withdrawal from Iraq, and Obama is only following it through, then fine, whatever helps you sleep at night. I really don't care.

Nixon was never impeached. He was a man and resigned before impeachment proceedings were started. That is more than Clinton would ever do. Clinton made history by being the second President ever impeached.

Clinton was the first elected President impeached

Coming from someone who thought it was a good idea to privatize SS before the banking and wall street crash does not leave much to desire about your creditiability

Why do democrats like Clinton pardon terrorists

The bush family are great friends with the bin laden family. In fact he helped most of them escape back to saudi aribia after 9-11.

For someone your age I am amazed at how little you know. Bush never proposed privatizing ALL SS just a small percentage and there was NO requirement to put that into the stock market. Obviously like so many other things you are totally confused. I can see why you shouldn't be given control of your own money. Putting it in a simple money market account would be too difficult for you

Tell that to the 9/11 Commission as they apparently got it wrong.

• The Saudi government did not fund the 19 hijackers.
• Relatives of bin Laden were not allowed to fly out of the country until after air traffic was allowed to move freely after it was grounded following the attacks. Moreover, those family members had no connection to the terrorist plot.

You know some very ignorant people keep their ignorance quiet while others open their mouth and remove all doubt.

I read what you post and unless this is an act, my statement is accurate. Your lack of facts and postings of leftwing website information and falsehoods supports my claims

Bin Laden Family 'Evacuated' From US | Home | Sky News

The revelations come from former White House counter-terrorism chief Richard Clarke.

He said the Bush administration sanctioned the repatriation of the family in the immediate aftermath of the attacks.

'Repatriation approved'

"Somebody brought to us for approval the decision to let an airplane filled with Saudis, including members of the bin Laden family, leave the country," he told Vanity Fair magazine.

Mr Clarke said he checked with FBI officials, who gave the go ahead. "So I said, 'Fine, let it happen'."

Bush never issued orders for the Pentagon to plan for the withdrawal from Iraq.

Who's withdrawal decision were the generals seeking to reverse?

"Generals Seek To Reverse Obama's Iraq Withdrawal Decision"

"WASHINGTON, Feb 2, 2009 (IPS) - CENTCOM commander Gen. David Petraeus, supported by Defence Secretary Robert Gates, tried to convince President Barack Obama that he had to back down from his campaign pledge to withdraw all U.S. combat troops from Iraq within 16 months at an Oval Office meeting Jan. 21.

But Obama informed Gates, Petraeus and Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen that he wasn't convinced and that he wanted Gates and the military leaders to come back quickly with a detailed 16-month plan, according to two sources who have talked with participants in the meeting."

That headline is misleading. He made no decision; the article referred only to a "campaign pledge". The article is from a year ago, and he has since made no move to carry out that pledge. He's instead followed Bush's plan for withdrawal.

No, the article refers to Obama's first official act in office, his orders on Jan 21 to the Pentagon to develop plans for withdrawal from Iraq, just as he promised in his campaign.

Again, that was a year ago, and nothing has been done since then.

Were he to follow through with his 16-month promise, troops would have to be out by the end of May. That's simply not going to happen, and nobody is suggesting that it will.

Sorry, wrong again.

It took the Pentagon 4 months to develop plans from Obama's Jan 21 order. !6 months from when withdrawal plans were ready has the last of the combat troops out by Aug. 2010.

It took the Pentagon 4 months to develop plans from Obama's Jan 21 order. !6 months from when withdrawal plans were ready has the last of the combat troops out by Aug. 2010.

From the article:

If all goes as planned, the last remaining Marines will be followed out by tens of thousands of soldiers in the coming months. President Barack Obama has ordered all but 50,000 troops out of the country by Aug. 31, 2010, with most to depart after the March 7 parliamentary election.

The remaining troops will leave by the end of 2011 under a U.S.-Iraqi security pact.
(The pact mentioned was signed by Bush)
