If you're going to continue emitting talking points without researching or addressing the fact that Bush signed the treaty of withdrawal from Iraq, and Obama is only following it through, then fine, whatever helps you sleep at night. I really don't care.

For someone your age I am amazed at how little you know. Bush never proposed privatizing ALL SS just a small percentage and there was NO requirement to put that into the stock market. Obviously like so many other things you are totally confused. I can see why you shouldn't be given control of your own money. Putting it in a simple money market account would be too difficult for you

Tell that to the 9/11 Commission as they apparently got it wrong.

• The Saudi government did not fund the 19 hijackers.
• Relatives of bin Laden were not allowed to fly out of the country until after air traffic was allowed to move freely after it was grounded following the attacks. Moreover, those family members had no connection to the terrorist plot.

You know some very ignorant people keep their ignorance quiet while others open their mouth and remove all doubt.

The revelations come from former White House counter-terrorism chief Richard Clarke.

He said the Bush administration sanctioned the repatriation of the family in the immediate aftermath of the attacks.

'Repatriation approved'

"Somebody brought to us for approval the decision to let an airplane filled with Saudis, including members of the bin Laden family, leave the country," he told Vanity Fair magazine.

Mr Clarke said he checked with FBI officials, who gave the go ahead. "So I said, 'Fine, let it happen'."

That headline is misleading. He made no decision; the article referred only to a "campaign pledge". The article is from a year ago, and he has since made no move to carry out that pledge. He's instead followed Bush's plan for withdrawal.

No, the article refers to Obama's first official act in office, his orders on Jan 21 to the Pentagon to develop plans for withdrawal from Iraq, just as he promised in his campaign.

Again, that was a year ago, and nothing has been done since then.

Were he to follow through with his 16-month promise, troops would have to be out by the end of May. That's simply not going to happen, and nobody is suggesting that it will.

It took the Pentagon 4 months to develop plans from Obama's Jan 21 order. !6 months from when withdrawal plans were ready has the last of the combat troops out by Aug. 2010.

If all goes as planned, the last remaining Marines will be followed out by tens of thousands of soldiers in the coming months. President Barack Obama has ordered all but 50,000 troops out of the country by Aug. 31, 2010, with most to depart after the March 7 parliamentary election.

The remaining troops will leave by the end of 2011 under a U.S.-Iraqi security pact.
