Ford’s moderate politics – he’s the chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council – and his early anti-establishment message have already left some members of New York’s congressional delegation puzzled about how exactly he thinks he could win a Democratic primary in a state like New York.

Not only is he a ****ing carpetbagger, he is changing his positions just to get elected. What a ****ing asshole.

Well, why not? Is there a friendlier state for carpetbaggers?

I read the story before. It just goes to show that politicians are all the same be they republican or democrat. They all make unholy alliances for their own self interests.

Throw all of the bums out.

And despite all that, he still seems preferable to Gillibrand.

You know, considering what's happening in Massachusetts right now, I wouldn't be surprised if Pataki had a good chance of taking this seat, whoever his opponent might be.

Why are you pissed at him? He's only playing the game the voters allow...

misplaced anger Chevy, seriously.

I want a New Yorker to represent me in the Senate not some two bit ****ing opportunist asshole from the South! Its not that ****ing hard to under****ingstand! Im pretty sure you wouldnt want Guilliani or Pataki all of a sudden trying to run for Governor or Senator of Texas

frigging opportunist who only wants the power of office and can offer nothing for the public that he seeks to do with that office
ford knows tennessee possesses NO political future for him

You're right, I wouldn't, and I understand why you feel so about Ford...

HOWEVER, you cannot blame the politicians, they only have power if the voters give it to them...

Personally, I would prefer a competent out-of-stater who agrees with me on policy positions to an incompetent in-stater who doesn't.
