In a continued tradition of offering nonpartisan balanced news FoxNews has signed Sarah Palin on as an official contributor in a multi-year contract. We can now look forward to Palin's Alaskan view, or "view from Alaska", on many topics from Russia to parenting.

The network confirmed that Ms. Palin would appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multiyear deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person with knowledge of the deal said, though she will host a series that will run on the network from time to time

I wonder if the contract expires by early 2011?

It will be interesting to watch. Palin did not do well with the media during the campaign (although I believe the media was very unfair to her) but she did do well in the Oprah interview. I think giving her her own air time could show the better side of her.

Either way, this was a smart move by Fox News. Whether Palin is considered a great Conservative or a train wreck, she is a very popular person and should bring in solid ratings, especially on Fox.

To be fair, this is a coup for Fox. I think any of the news channels would have loved to land her for a program like this, it is guaranteed ratings. It's also good for her, as it gives her time to work on her second biggest weakness, which is presentation.

I still don't get how there are Republicans who can say with a straight face that anybody of any political ideology left of center is afraid of this woman. She has gone from being a sensation to trying to stay relevant. Kind of sad. But whatever. I wish her luck on FOX News.

As long as they can pre-tape, edit out her idiotic remarks and pre-write her questions/answers....she'll do fine.

The only people afraid of Palin are the moderate normal Republicans that are trying to save their party from the fringe.

I wish you knock this kind of stuff off....... I'm starting to change my first impression of you, for the better.

You mean like the Teleprompter in Chief?

Hope she don't quit on 'em mid broadcast...:2razz:

You took the words right out of my mouth. She's a quitter.

And furthermore that high pitched voice is the last thing I want to hear in a TV journalist.

I just had an image of little miss martyr, Carrie Prejean, trying to walk out of the Larry King interview.....I could totally see Palin doing the same thing!

I am sure that there is an agreement in place so she can leave for the 2012 elections.

Is that Bush, Clinton, Bush Senior, Reagan?
Actually Clinton, Reagan and Bush Sr. were all adept and fluid without a teleprompter. Bush Jr. and Obama not so much.

Why bother to make an argument when you can just make **** up?

They all used it.

The "teleprompter" nonsense is just an idiotic partisan talking point. Attacking the fact that the President doesn't have time to memorize every speech he gives... Talk about desperation.

Obama does just fine without a teleprompter and is one of the best presidential speakers we've had in a long time. It must be nice to just make stuff up as you go.

You are not paying attention, I never said they don't all use them. I said three names on that list of five were all able to converse with skill without a teleprompter. Bush Jr. and Obama not so much. So if it is your claim this is not the case get to proving your point. Or you could pay attention to what was posted next time...........
