Sarah Palin to Contribute to Fox News

I knew liberal heads would be spinning upon hearing this news. I hope she gets her own show.

Obama does just fine without a teleprompter and is one of the best presidential speakers we've had in a long time. It must be nice to just make stuff up as you go.
Yeah if the interjection of the word "uh" every nine words makes one a great speaker then Obama is doing fine. Besides being a "great speaker" does not make one great at elaboraion off the cuff, and as the last year and numerous press conferences have proven, Mr. Obama gets a little flustered and tends to revert to using a lot of "uhs" in his answers. And funny thing is that most of the left wing pundits I've seen speak about this very minor point of contention agree with me.

Just when the annoying threads about Sarah palin were beginning to dwindle down. Now there will be one or two every night she airs. Damnit....

Only if you call spinning equivalent to laughing our arses off. She's a joke that just keeps on giving to the liberals.

Yeah because 82 uhs in a single speech is graceful and gifted oratory, but you go on telling us otherwise.:lamo

Media Matters is going to go crazy.

Their headlines are going to be even more idiotic than they already are.

Media Matters is going to go crazy.

Their headlines are going to be even more idiotic than they already are.

Why....because they use the exact footage of people like Palin?

Well...yes....you are correct, idiotic would be a fair characterization.

I like it. And since it irritates some when she is compared to Reagan, here goes: this is like when Reagan did radio political commentary and analysis between 76 and 80, but this is on a much bigger scale and we get to see her pretty face regularly.

"...Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup," said Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming.

Prior to joining Sen. John McCain on the 2008 presidential ticket, Palin was the first woman to serve as governor of Alaska, taking the oath in 2006. As governor, she worked on improving resource development, education, health and transportation and infrastructure development.

Prior to holding the office of governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council in Alaska as well as two terms as the mayor and manager of Wasilla, and worked as an oil and gas industry regulator..."

I applaud your username in this context.

Yes, because showing footage of Sarah Palin saying "Iran" instead of "Iraq" -- once! -- while simultaneously talking about both countries is REALLY newsworthy.

Only a liberal would find Media Matters as worthy of anything other than a laugh. Their pathetic, trivial and partisan tendentiousness is hilariously dumb.

I guess Fox News didn't watch 60 minutes last night.

Her credibility is in the toilet.

The announcement comes in the wake of biting comments about Palin’s performance and integrity as the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008 that aired Sunday evening on “60 Minutes.” The comments came from top McCain campaign strategist Steve Schmidt as part of a report on a new book on the 2008 election called “Game Change,” by John Heilemann of New York magazine and Mark Halperin of Time magazine.

Mr. Schmidt, who was the target of critical comments in Palin’s book “Going Rogue,” said: "There were numerous instances that she said things that were – that were not accurate that, ultimately, the campaign had to deal with. And that opened the door to criticism that she was being untruthful and inaccurate. And I think that that is something that continues to this day.”

Schmidt also said Palin had a weak background in national security issues and required intensive briefing.

Lets be realistic here, even Sarah Plain can't make Fox News worst than it already is.

You are blindly taking what Steve Schmidt says as gospel. He messed up plenty during the campaign and should look in the mirror about errors he made during the campaign.

When Levi Johnson came out and reported about how the Palins talked how to make the most money of her fame they suggested a book deal and tv show. Immediately the Palin camp came out and called him a liar.

Yes, what a liar that Levi is.

A suitably fair and balanced contribution.

I called this a long time ago. Anybody remember?

My crystal balls never lie.

FOXNews is a perfect Palin gig.

Palin to Join Fox News as Contributor

I thought this might evoke some lively conversation, being that it combines two of the most popular subjects here: Fox News and Sarah Palin. Looks like they are officially joining forces! :2razz: She has certainly parlayed her VP run into a lucrative new career path!

2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is joining Fox News as a contributor, the news channel announced Monday.

The former Alaska governor, whose book, Going Rogue: An American Life, became a bestseller weeks before it was released and remains No. 2 on the New York Times bestseller list, has signed a multi-year deal to offer her political commentary and analysis across all Fox News platforms, including Fox Business Channel, FoxNews.com and Fox News Radio.

She will also participate in special event political programming for Fox Broadcasting.

A lot of people called it. A broadcast journalism major catapulted to international fame in a matter of months who suddenly quits her job- how else would she make money?
