There are a number of differences in how the law treats minors of different ages. Age of consent laws is a good example.

You seem confused. Age of consent is one example of how the law treats minors of different ages differently. Driving would be another. What age minors can be tried as adults in a court yet another. Simply saying "they are minors" when some one points out the difference between 7 year olds and 17 year olds is oversimplified.

Too few parents take an interest in their schools. And, I do believe that many school boards want things not to change...
After seeing the behavour of people at town hall meetings, maybe the school boards are correct.

Their are many laws that treat teens under 18 as adults. For examples, the Age of consent is one of these laws. If they do a horrible crime for example, killing some one for a thrills or even serial killings Is that better Dev?

Show me that the books contain sexually explicit material. I cannot find any that do. I find plenty that cater to the gay and lesbian crowd, but that's it. Books about being a gay kid in high school are not sexually explicit or inappropriate.
