The irony is such a statement (though true) is how the Right dogged then Sen. Obama on the campaign trail calling him a rock star. Well, now look at their former VP candidate. She's just basking in the lime light of the "lame stream media" she so viciously denounce as "attacking her". :roll: But, she's the hottest ticket the Conservative/Republican party has right now. Better get as much mileage out of her as you can, boyz and girls, because sooner or later the mainstream media will tire of her and she'll quickly become last week's tabloid fodder.

The lamestream media will never tire of bashing Palin, not until she retires from public life, that is. They're afraid of her. The Leftist media is scared ****less of the new fans the book will generate, hence the reason for the negative attention from the lamestream.

It's stupid on the media's part, because everytime they make her look like a victim, they wrangle up another few hundred votes for her in the future.

I think you're kidding yourself with that notion. You're really kidding yourself if you think that her selling 300,000 copies of her book on the first day has something to with un-popularity.

That's you interpretation, but I think you're only trying to make yourself feel good. Sensationalism didn't sell 300,000 copies in a day. If this were some tell all expose', or whatever, you might be on track.

She's controversial. McCain's campaign team already came out and said she lies in it. Dennis Rodman sold a lot of books too.

:rofl Why would I try to make myself feel good? I'm not a huge fan of the woman as far as her politics are concerned. I think she's incredibly smart and beautiful, but I really think she is out of her league in the world of politics. A lot of the time she plays victim and you really can't do that and expect to get anywhere. Do you really think that the 300,000 books she sold was solely because people support her and think she's a great politician? Hell, I'm honestly curious to read her book myself.

Obviously. However, the fact that she quit her post as Governor is going to hurt her and bad. I honestly don't think she'll ever have a good chance at being the President. And no, I'm not saying this because I don't agree with her politics. If she traversed the waters of the political world a bit better during the campaign with McCain and hadn't quit as Governor she would definitely have a good chance. However, that is not the case.

She can do all the damage control that she wants, but it's not going to change the fact that she quit in the eyes of many people.

Again, proof? How do you know that I'm hoping she doesn't have a good chance? Hope has nothing to do with it. I don't agree with her politics, but that doesn't mean I hope she doesn't have a good chance. I truly don't think she has a chance at all and as I stated before, it has nothing to do with her politics. I've already given you the reasons. As for PBO's chances for a second term..that remains to be seen. If he continues the way he's been going then he doesn't have a very good chance. However, it's still early in his administration. Let's not count our chickens before they hatch.
