Cop Tases 10-Year-Old Gir

Psychology?

WTF do you think cops are, all medical professionals rolled into one person?

She has a mental disorder, what type of psychology would you suggest would work here that mom didn't already try and the officer didn't already try with her prior to her kicking him in the balls.

This is my problem with "the public" when it comes to them making comments on the action of an officer, and part of the reason I put little weight into what "the public" says. "The public" over simplifies an incident by thinking that things and people act according to exact rules, as they might have reacted themselves.

Agree'd. It's easy to look at any situation with hindsight and say "Well, I would have done it this way..." And I am disgusted with people who will buy these media frenzies over the couple of outrageous stories about cops and partake in these massive ****storms and completely ignore everything else that Police Agencies have done. Everyone that complains about the Police probably doesn't know the first thing about Community Policing, who their Police Chief is, what sort of outreach programs they offer, or any of the other services law enforcement officials offer.

i find it hard to believe the girl could actually injure him. a little psychology could have gone a long here........

Look, I agree that the ideal situation would have been to have a psychiatrist show up and magically calm the girl down. But let's be real. This incident happened at night in the Ozarks. Whether he made the right decision to take her in to custody is available for debate, I have no idea what other options he had before that. But once that decision had been made, I think the taser was an option and I don't think he did anything wrong in using it.

In all honesty I don't advocate using a tazer on a 10 year old, but I have no earthly idea how the incident took place and I never trust a news source when it comes to covering an officer's use of the tazer. The media hates the tazer, and they hate on the police any time we have to do something that doesn't look "nice" and "cuddly" to the public. Sometimes we have to do **** that isn't pretty, its a part of the job.

Maybe the people who complain should register with their local Police Agencies to NOT receive help in an emergency and save us all the trouble.

a mental disorder? where did you get that? who the hell knows how this girl has been parented, if the mother is suggesting a cop taser her?

and why was the cop carrying her to the shower?

No clue. Has nothing to do with how an officer reacts to an incident.

Dunno that either, maybe he got her calmed down and she agreed to go take a shower and go to bed and his term "carried" wasn't used in the same vernacular as "picked up and transported". This is the ozarks, I have no clue how they speak there. Maybe he DID carry (pick up) her to the shower hoping she could calm down, agree to take a shower and go to bed.

The routine response to a call of this nature isn't to grab someone up and haul 'em off to a facility without trying to resolve the problem peacefully first, maybe the shower was a part of that attempt at resolving the problem rather than haulin' her off as soon as he walked in the door.

See, kids know how to handle these things....

Ha! I thought the 15 yr old's shock collar idea was pretty clever! :rofl

Re: Cop Tases 10-Year-Old Girl

I have no sympathy for people with disorders.

Its just an excuse, something to take the fall for a having ****ty attitude.

Wrong.

You clearly have no clue what you're talking about.

I bet your mommy beat you down when you stepped out of line.

Tazing a 10 year-old is UNACCEPTABLE. PERIOD. Tazers kill adults with shocking regularity. We do not need to chance children dying because some departments turn loose officers who cannot take a 10 year-old girl in a fight.

This is UNACCEPTABLE.

The officer needs to be fired and then charged with 1st degree assault.

Obviously the police officer felt threatened by a little girl. Now tell me you bunch of wussies, is it the police officer that deserves to be tazored (you know, the guy we expect to protect us from guns and bad guys) or the girl?

Yea, thats what i thought.

I mean, technically he went by the use of force continuum.... lol

He got kicked in the balls, and to prevent any furthur physical harm or injury to either of them, the tazer was used.

If he isn't strong enough to subdue a 10 year-old girl, he doesn't belong behind the badge.

Period.

He's a disgrace, his department is a disgrace.

He could have called for back-up... instead ... he used a potentially lethal device on a 10 year-old girl.

He needs to lose his badge.

Yes because that was the best deterrent against containing the physical threat posed by the BIG SCARY GIRL. How civilized of you.

Someone remind me again why we had to go to Europe in the first half of the century...twice.

To save our arses. How does this have any relevance to the topic at hand?? :doh

Ask anybody here. Im the most pro-US European you'll find buddy. Dont try and ridicule me with your games.

I have too many cats. Perhaps the cop can drown a couple of them for me, because I don't want to take responsibility for having to take them to a shelter. Perhaps he can cook my food and clean my home while he is there too, since I am sick to death of being responsible for my own upkeep. In fact, maybe he can take responsibility for the DWI I had a while back, so I don't have to be responsible for my own actions.

Hmmm, I an beginning to see the good side in not having to be responsible for my own actions....... NOT!! LOL.

NOTE: The cop can even vote in my place, so I don't have to be responsible for any douche bags I inadvertently help put in office. In that case, he should vote Communist.

You are aware that serious long lasting physical harm can be done from being kicked in the groin right?

You are aware that serious physical harm can be done by using physical force to restrain someone or when two forces are working against each other? For example, people who armwressle have a tendency to causing harm to their hands and arms from such activity due to this mechanic. Same rule applies when an officer is trying to restrain someone, regardless of age or strength level.

So, what you want is more physical harm rather than a half second pop of a tazer in a contact stun which immediately brings the appropriate level of compliance.

What do you mean regardless? Do you think it would have caused him much physical harm to restrain a little girl? If he is a police officer, he is supposedly trained in dealing with this, from larger adults even, not little kids. The guy is either a wuss or just trigger happy.

Dont blabber on. There is nothing to show that this man would have sustained serious injuries from a little friggin girl. Is this guy suppose to protect us from serious hardcore bad guys?
