Does this mean blame Bush is hurting Obama and the democrats or is the truth being seen?

CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time Blog Archive - CNN Poll: Blame for recession shifting from GOP to Democrats - Blogs from CNN.com

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday morning indicates that 38 percent of the public blames Republicans for the country's current economic problems. That's down 15 points from May, when 53 percent blamed the GOP. According to the poll 27 percent now blame the Democrats for the recession, up 6 points from May. Twenty-seven percent now say both parties are responsible for the economic mess.

"The bad news for the Democrats is that the number of Americans who hold the GOP exclusively responsible for the recession has been steadily falling by about two to three points per month," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "At that rate, only a handful of voters will blame the economy on the Republicans by the time next year's midterm elections roll around."

Thirty-six percent of people questioned say that President Barack Obama's policies have improved economic conditions, with 28 percent feeling that the president's programs have made things worse, and 35 percent saying what he's done has had no effect on the economy.

I think it means that more of the American public is finally shaking off all the glitz and glamour of the messianic image Obama was able to infuse into the American psyche, and are now beginning to realize that the man puts on his pants one leg at a time like everybody else, and that flowery oratory is sometimes just flowery oratory without any substance behind it.

In other words, there is a limit to how much some people are willing to be played for fools and some do eventually wake up to the reality of a situation.

what truth?

That it is not just Bush. All we hear from Obama is I can't fix it and it is Bush's fault. Obama came to congress in 2006 that is when the dems took over the majority yet they have no fault it is all Bush according to Obama.

sometimes that limit is 8 years.

The Democrats' problem is that while they are certainly doing everything in their power to make 1984 a reality, with them in charge, the problem is that they've invented Goldstein before conditioning the people to hate him unreservedly.

Bush is no Goldstein and the people aren't going to watch their Messiah, who they elected to rescue them and create heaven on earth, fail and cheer him on anyway.

And the Messiah is failing, in a big way.

Just wait until his tax increases take effect this New Year's Eve.

what truth?

Oh, say that the economy was just fine until it was shredded by 2 years of democratic spending.... you do remember who holds the purse strings in this country, don't you?

The media never mentions that Bush complained all the time that he could not get a bill on his desk that was not over burdened by congressional pork.

There were a lot of bubbles in place, but it was the Liberals filling the air waves with, "the Economy is bad", even though it was booming, that caused it to collapse. The Liberals made sure consumer confidence was destroyed just in time for the election. They are also to blame for creating a lot of the bubbles. Just ask Barny Frank.

:rofl Can you say :spin:
