Bashing Fox News was throwing a bone to the liberal base

Faux News Sunday finds time to discuss "bow-gate," but ignored reports of alleged Blackwater bribes

Despite finding the time to discuss the manner in which President Obama greeted the emperor of Japan on the November 15 broadcast of Fox News Sunday, there was no time during the program devoted to recent reports that officials at Xe Services -- formerly Blackwater Worldwide -- had allegedly authorized about $1 million in bribery payments to Iraqi officials in the aftermath of a fatal shooting involving Blackwater security guards. By contrast, Fox News Sunday has previously devoted 18 minutes of broadcast time to discussing videos of conservative activists James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles posing as a pimp and a prostitute while asking for assistance from employees at an ACORN office, which followed Fox News' aggressive promotion and coverage of the undercover videos.

I watched every morning program on television, I didn't see this story on any of them.....next.

You just have to appreciate the not so subtle irony in quoting Media Matters as a credible source to discredit Fox News. Media Matters has by now proven that they are every bit as biased and dishonest as they say Fox News is.

Just the other day over in another wah wah Fox News thread (http://www.debatepolitics.com/bias-media/59980-fox-news-caught-again-16.html#post1058361870) they were again quoted as stating Fox News lied, mislead blah blah. Within seconds the MM claim was debunked. Not one MM "fan" had the intestinal fortitude to admit the obvious and of course that paragon of journalistic virtue MM has not seen fit to acknowledge either their incompetence or dishonesty, retract the erroneous claim or apologize. Ya know, exactly what they say Fox News does.

You will note in that thread, that the exposure of a bold Media Matters SNAFU fallacy is ignored by every single poster in the thread. Most of whom have managed to pop up in this one too.:doh You have comments like WillRockwell's "so you can't bust MM?" And of course the person that posted the MM mangling of the truth was Whip Comes Down. How shocking to see that so deep is this posters intellectual honesty and his sense of integrity that he managed to ignore the debunking of his MM allegation. So here he is a few days later up to the same sad shtick (read PeteEU impersonation) and using MM as a source again. :cuckoo:

Watching Fox News OCD sufferers cite Media Matters as their source for "proof" that Fox News is (insert irrational allegation here) is the very definition of a circle jerk.

Oh I have been debunking this silly group of twits for years now. You should have seen the reaction when it was learned that Hillary Clinton actually co-founded the site. Their name should read......Onlyliberalmediamatters

The reason most of these Fox News OCD patients quote Media Matters IMO is that MM provides lazy laundry list of salacious allegations about Fox. Never mind that there is now an inverse laundry list of debunked and lazy allegations from MM because of this. Which is just one facet of why watching the Media Matters fans point at Fox News fans and make their claims about dishonesty, lying and lack of journalistic integrity is the definition of circle jerking. Naturally it is also the same posters who do this day after day, week after week and in the case of PeteEU, year after year. Because apparently when they awake each day, nocturnal synaptic backfire in the brain-pan has wiped their cerebral hard drive, so they forget everything they learned or ignored the day before.

Proving once again........

So you admit that CNN is nothing more than leftwing hackery.

Its quite right wing. Quite nationalistic, never questions the governments actions, never question the presidents, never question the administations.

This is what the new administation has brought us all now, they knew damn well the sheep would respond in large numbers. This is how propaganda is spread, and they wonder why people are marching on washington.

They are? Lets hope something happens, that the people take back the power from the ultra corrupt political class in the US, and help us do the same in Europe. UK, Italy, France should be first on the list.

Please!

Nobody needs proof that FoxNews is a propaganda brainwashing channel, all the proof you need is in the shows themself, propatainment.
If you really want definete proof and understandin of the reality, you need to explore other opttions, then you will see that FoxNews is just rotten to the core, and that they support a fascist nationalist agenda.

Wow, do need a Kleenex, man? You sound like you're about to cry! Fascist nationalist agenda? Sheesh. Those are big words.

So you claim that Fox supports Obama?

I don't know anyone dumb enough or shortsighted enough to get all their news from one source. The only place I hear about the supposed lackeys and drones of Fox News or insert source here is here on the internet.

And yeah you could say I find that statement of yours a pretty typical internet screed. I don't bother to watch prime time opinion commentary on the various networks very often. Since all the host of that type of programming openly state their bias and political affiliations I don't really waste anytime trying to ferret out the obvious, much less the alleged nefarious "agendas" so many net loons caterwaul about.

And yeah, I find the motivations of those all worked up that in a sea of liberal political commentary on television, there is one voice devoted to "conservative" political commentary pretty harebrained. Sorta like claiming political discussion and opinion commentary are a form of fascism.:sarcasticclap

Why is Rupert Murdoch so clueless about Fox News?

Did you know that Sean Hannity is "an academic"? That Obama administration officials love Fox News' White House reporters? That CNN refuses to have Republicans on its program? That Glenn Beck is "purely Libertarian"? Or that there's no bias -- none -- in Fox's presentation of the news?

At least that's the gospel according to Rupert Murdoch this month.

In truth, thanks to Murdoch's recent laundry list of public falsehoods, we now know that Fox News' misinformation culture starts at the very top, inside the corner office of Murdoch, the CEO of News Corp., Fox News' parent company. It turns out Murdoch functions as his own one-man misinformation machine. Who knew?

What I do know is that I have now watched you RUN and HIDE several times when a "source" of yours was debunked, aka proven wrong. So what does a brave and utterly typical intellectual internet warrior like you do when that happens? You just ignore it and keep repeating the same sad shtick. In other words I could get a more informed and intellectually honest discussion out of box of rocks than I could you. Like the above, I'll be skipping wasting a second more of my time reading your inane scribble.

Congrats, you have quickly outed yourself and those here not also dipping their fingers into the same communal Kool-Aid family pack have taken notice.
