58% Say Next President Likely To Be Republican

Right... just as we had Dems and Independents ... NY Times all rally for McCain? A RINO.

No chance you folks would do it because you know she is a straight shooting babe.

It was Palin that revived McCain's run... and they tied her hands unfortunately... if she makes a go of it... it will be a joy to watch her tear Thuggo Edsel Obama a new one...

Yes We Can...
Hope.
Change.
Unity.

ROTFLMFAO ... that BS isn't ging to work next time.
Thuggo will actually have to defend his moronic anti-American beliefs.

This is not the man most Americans believed they were getting... and this after a mere 10-months.

It will be funny to ask people in the future... were you one of the Kool-Aid drinkers that voted for Thuggo Edsel Obama...
Reply:  Who? Me? Nooooooooooooooooooooo... I wasn't that stupid...

LOL.

Like I said Zim....I'm willing to campaign for her with you to get the GOP nomination.
I've already started.

Riiiiight....because GWB had so much to clean up after he was left a country in prosperity with huge surplusses

:rofl The country was in recession BEFORE Bush took office....That magical surplus wasnt really a surplus, the debt INCREASED every year under Clinton.

Absolutely. Hilary was definitely a strong candidate in 2005 and many expected Obama to be a strong candidate as well. Edwards was also viewed as a strong potential candidate.

Who, other than Romney does the GOP have that stands as a strong candidate. I'd be interested to hear your take.

We don't have anyone we know of, but there's still the possibility of a wildcard turning up. Like Obama did... nobody really thought he was a serious candidate until he won Iowa.

I love how you guys love to change the facts to try to rehabilitate your failed hero.

Thats incorrect. Obama was known to be a very likely contender from early on. No one knew exactly how strong he would be before Iowa, but absolutely he was expected to give Hilary a strong race.

You are correct that there could be a wildcard....but I don't think I would want to be hedging my bets on that one. Remember when they were saying that Jindal was going to be that wildcard?

So there is hope for you.

What happened? Too much medical ganja?

WRONG.

NOBODY BUT NOBODY was supposed to come close to beating Hillary. That was conventional wisdom from the leftist media.

You speak as if Jindal is dead in the water....I have not seen any evidence of this.

No. Education and real life experience.

LOL...

That's why I went from SAP ...Socialist of America Party (Dem) to Republican... that and a couple million miles of international travel, living in the socialist utopia called the EU and Kanuckistan.

Clearly, if Obama actually starts to do something - the eventuality of his exit could be changed.

The economy will likely determine whether or not he gets a second term. And you cannot reasonable predict what the economy will be like in 2011.

Thank you Captain Obvious for pointing out no one can accurately predict the future. I'll stand by my arrogance - it's got some historical context you see and history has a way of repeating itself.

Come again? Your basic argument boils down to Obama not doing what you like. That of course does not equate to him losing an election. Historical context suggests my position, not yours, is correct.

Anyone who thinks they can predict who will win or lose in 2012 now is pretty much a fool.

He is absolutely dead in the water after his deer in the headlights performance in the Republican response to the state of the union.
That was more damaging than Palin's constant blunders.

Actually, and you should know better, won't matter a hill of beans in two years. Did not matter a hill of beans two minutes ago either.

I can....If Health Scare and Scam & Tax are passed, our current difficulties will look like a picnic by comparison.

Trust me....Jindal was DOA. The man did so horribly that there is no way that the GOP will back him. It was unlikely that they would have backed him anyway....his performance was simply the nail in his coffin.

In what way was the man horrible?

Not really. The health care bill is quite complex. To declare that it will be automatically bad is quite premature. Furthermore, if Cap and Trade does go though, it could create incentives for private capital to pour billions into alternative energy that would create many export oriented jobs.

And quite frankly, you're ignoring the 80 million lb Gorilla in the room. The $50+ trillion in unfunded liabilities pretty much trumps any problem we're going to have short of a 2012 scenario.

Yes really. Forcing people to tie up their income in health insurance will have a few effects.

1. more people will use the system.
2.more peope drives up demand.
3.More demand drives up prices.
4.Higher prices drop disposable income.
5.Lower income drops consumer demand for other items such as TV's,Computers, movies etc etc...
6.Lower demand for these items means fewer jobs/layoffs.
7.Fewer jobs/layoffs means consumer demand will drop even more.

I could go on and on but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.

Wrong,it will destroy our manufacturing base as most of these jobs will be shifted overseas where scam and tax is not implemented.

All the more reason why we should'nt be creating new entitlement programs...Dont you think?

That could be argued for any mandatory cost. You do realize by forcing those to get insurance you take a sizable burden off taxpayers? The same monies which could be returned to them to stimulate demand and create jobs?

I have a real problem with people who have no insurance and expect the rest of us to pay for them. How much money and jobs are lost there?

Has that happened to the large alternative energy manufactures in Europe?

Hint: No.

Besides, R&D has always been a big part of new technologies and many firms are wary about outsourcing R&D for obvious reasons.

All the more reason why we should'nt be creating new entitlement programs.

Not sure that's really entitlement when we are paying for it through taxes anyways.

In which way is a burden being taken away?

:roll:I went without insurance for many years and NOBODY ever picked up any of my tabs.Your going to have to explain how everyone else picks up these tabs.

I could go on and on but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.

giving yourself a little too much credit.

Perhaps you did'nt see the part where I said "Manufacturing BASE".
