More depressing is all the single parent homes. A very good friend of mine married her college sweetheart 15 years ago and they are a very religious family. They had three daughters, now aged 12, 9, 7. The husband went to Swanee (sp?), a religious school, for his freaking doctor of divinity. While there he decided he was going to sleep with his best friends wife and after, that they were going to get married. So he divorced his wife and she is now raising the kids on her own.

Divorce is a disease and kids are growing up stunted by the single parent homes. Even in a 2 parent home, both parents work and send the kids to day-care.

And by extension on what you said, men don't have to put up with women's ****.

we would have to weight the emotional cost of living with parents who depsised each other as opposed to living with a single parent. i don't know which is worse.

Very, very true. I just don't completely get how a couple "in love" can sour to "I hate you". Then again, I am a romantic who would honor my vows if I was to ever give them (I seriously doubt that that will be happening). Where has the spirit of generosity and kindness gone? It's me, me, me.

i've been married forever and love my husband more than the day we married. it hasn't been easy, but no doubt worth it.

that's the problem, i think, people don't expect to work at a relationship. and it DOES take work, and luck.

What left field did the Huffington Post come out of? I mean, I know there was the incident with the HuffPost guy getting a question at some Press Conference a while back but other than that, I don't know what kind of qualifications or merits this publisher/source has? Can anyone explain it to me?

Right and us killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians doesn't bother them a bit, they just take it in stride.

This type of ignorance is why (after 8 years of wars at a cost of 3 trillion dollars) we are losing the war on terror.

How would we react to a hundred thousand innocent civilians of our own being killed?
