Couldn't have made the point any clearer.

Both a straight man and a gay man has equal rights to marry any woman they wish. But that's not freedom.

I've always thought marriage should be a religious issue and that the government should just protect people from unfair discrimination.

And life is easier when you just live and let live and not be all judgmental.

Maine is pretty much a Dem state and some are uptight lol,

Is it a Dem state? Indies outnumber Dems and Reps here.

Since I've been here, we had a 2 term GOP Gov, a 2 term Indie Gov, and now a 2 term Dem Gov.

Congress has been split.

Portland is definitely a Dem city, but I never thought Maine was a Dem state.


I honestly don't know how support for No on One, or Yes on One, breaks down, politically. I'm curious tho! Just going by my gut, I bet its more generational, but I'm not really sure.

It looks like it's going to be a high turnout. But, who is turning out? That is the big question.

I heard that a record number (for an off-year election) of absentee ballots were cast. Also, the Sec of State was predicting about a 35% turnout, but based on lines at polling places in Augusta, Portland, and other places, the Sec of State is saying the turnout will be higher, possibly a record for an off-year election.

I wonder if they'll be able to call the winner for Question 1 tonight.

People are so against gay marriage that they even made measures to ensure that when you marry inanimate objects, they can't be gay. :doh
