Study: Obama foes aren't race-driven

I agree. They don't hate Obama because he's black. They hate the troops. :flames:

I'm sorry for such an unfounded avalance of tidbits but I came across this on another forum and it seems appropo.

The GOP taking credit for ending slavery is a bit less clear cut than it sounds. At the time, the Republican party was the more liberal of the two. At least, to the extent that those distinctions make sense in a time with such radically different policy issues than we have today being the focus.

MLK is not so clear cut either. He did vote Republican, as did virtually all blacks, during the days of the dixiecrats. But his son says that from the moment JFK introduced the civil rights act on MLK considered himself a Democrat.

Regardless though, I don't think anybody could deny that the Republican party has stood, strongly, against racism many times. There is absolutely nothing inherently racist about being a Republican. Far from it. Racism conflicts with some of the core values of the Republican party.

That said, no party is ever immune to being infected with racism or to having racists cling on to them. A strong history of fighting racism isn't a reason to stop agressively fighting racism today, it's a proud tradition that needs to be carried on.

What do you even base that on??

Nobody hates the troops as much as they hate some the ORDERS the troops are given.

I'd expand on that, but it'll be lost on you anyway.

I didn't need a study to tell me I'm not racist.

Nor did I.

Thought it was interesting somebody actually did a study. My bet is some on the other side are pissed because now there are numbers to support what should be a given and general knowledge.

It isn't... and it isn't, and I wonder why?
Not.

.

Meh. Dear Leaders administrative flaws are many and glaring. There is no need for any racial opposition. This is another desparate distraction while they try to slip meritless legislation through. You dont need to go hunting while you are at a feast.

This liberal study done in part by James Carville is just another example of the liberal bias so prevalent today. We should discount it immediately just as all liberal media claims are automatically wrong.

I KNEW you couldn't help chiming in... ridiculous.. yes.. but I KNEW I could count on you!.. :2rofll:
