More Kids Singing For Obama. CNN has kids singing about health care to Miley Cryus

Re: More Kids Singing For Obama. CNN has kids singing about health care to Miley Cryu

HI,

Yes, she's only 16. But she has a surprisingly deep voice, and she's way too confident for a girl who just learned to drive.

Her Nashville buddy, Taylor Swift, is three years older, but despite all Swift's accolades, there's still a hint of vulnerability and gee-whiz charm to her. Perhaps Cyrus' charm is her spunkiness and take-no-prisoners attitude.

It's rock 'n' roll, baby -- Disney style.

As most 16-year-olds head back to school, Cyrus heads out on the road. The "Hannah Montana" star turned real-life, chart-topping singer kicked off her 45-date "Wonder World Tour" Monday in Portland, Oregon.

On Monday October 5th 2009 CNN had Kids from the Ron Clark Academy singing for health care reform set to the Miley Cyrus song "Party in the USA." They mention "Obama says everyone needs health care now."

Here is the original post where they have a transcript:

..... o_O...now that was just retarded(the kids singing, not the post)

Re: More Kids Singing For Obama. CNN has kids singing about health care to Miley Cryu

I keep thinking I should remember what channel CNN is on instead of flipping through the news channels that are lined up next to each other in my area, but I see things like this and their love of bloggers and I begin to think otherwise...

I don't much care for the message but I think the kids sing pretty well.

Why do parents feel like they have to impose their political/religious views on their kids?

Because that is what happens when you raise children?

Ummm because they are their kids? Unless you think it "takes a village?"

Whose views should be imposed?

I don't. I impose my anarchist/atheist views on mine.

No government! No religion!

Is that better?

Do I win?

Whose views should be imposed?

The all powerful state! :stop: We will raise your children the right way.

What are you trying to say? Parents can't raise their kids the way they want to?

If the kids were forced to do this routine by a school, then I'd have a problem with it. But if the parents okay'd it or supported it, then I don't think there's a problem with that either. Parents decide for their own kids for most of the time, at least until 18.

Miley Cyrus's "singing" is likely enough to incude illness.

Just saying.

Both situations are creepy. I wonder if any of the kids are aware of what any their singing / praising about means... If it's used as an educational tool then I am fine, if not then it is just impression.

Yeah that Jesus Camp stuff is creepy as hell:(

Re: More Kids Singing For Obama. CNN has kids singing about health care to Miley Cryu

Funny how whenever Obama or someone doing something in his name gets brought up the Hyper partisans always bring up oh so and so did this.

Jesus camp has nothing to do with these kids singing for the President. In fact unlike the kinds, Jesus camp was edited with one purpose; to make Christians look bad, period.

Well singing to praise God is one thing. Singing to praise a President who has yet to really do anything other than give nice speeches? I don't know man.

But singing praise to a President in a Church is bad. I understand praying that your leaders have wisdom, but bringing out a cut-out of your President is borderline blasphemy.

That... has to be the scariest thing I've seen on DP in a loooong time.

Considering I haven't heard the little girl sing yet, I guess I can't blame my acid reflux on her, can I? Or is merely seeing her alter-ego enough to induce stomach pain? Because I could have sworn that happened.
