Glenn Beck's Day of Fasting and Prayer

She was a trainwreck from the second McCain led her out onto the stage wearing his fake "country first" grin on his face.

Correct. Which was exactly the way the media portrayed her in order to steer the election to Bush II.

McCaine could not have run a worse campaign if he had been on dear leaders payroll. It was a mere theatrical handoff from Bush to dear leader.

It wasn't McCain it was the Party he represents and the amount of credibilty that it currently holds in the eyes of the American public.

It's just Glenn Abdulhl plannibg for his The Hajj except that Glenn is making a pilgrimage to a parking lot near Dupont Circle in DC which is the Bectster's Mecca.

Fine, I took some poetic liscence but in effect it is the same.

You got little Obamaphiles who read their liberal blogs, get their liberal emails, and all that good stuff talking trash about Glenn Beck and then they come here and spout it off. I wonder where the OP got his motivation to post this crap, for instance.

It's like when people talk about the town-hall shouters, who supposedly get their directions from the GOP special interests. But I guess only the right is allowed to have evil overlords.

Or it could be because people hear about what Glenn Beck says and are legitimately appalled by it. It's not a conspiracy, it's people trying to engage in the political discussion.

I'm willing to bet the guy sneaks a Twinkie or two on the 28th.

You're talking spongy confection here, right?

The young male interns are uneasy enough as it is.

Did you even read this? Beck ordered his followers to try to dig up information on some predominant liberal pundits, and the poster on Kos was satirizing him.

The "poster" was Keith Olberman, and he definitely was not satirizing Beck.

How would you describe making fun of some one else's words?

Did YOU read it? He started out satirizing, then concluded with

"Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here."

Is that meant to imply that he was still joking?

BTW, the "poster" is Keith Olbermann himself...

Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony "truce" push).

This becomes necessary after this in order to prove various cliches about goose and gander, and to remind everybody to walk softly and carry a big popsicle, and most particularly to save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.

I keep wondering if somewhere somebody named Ollie Garhey thinks he's in charge now. Or, even more entertainingly and societally satisfying, if somebody named Ali Garhi does.

Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here.

Reading this, I assumed he was referring to the things above, and the snark was him calling for facts on Beck.

Also why don't I see you calling out Beck for this?

Who involved in this is a government official? You were calling out the left, specifically Keith Olbermann, who is a private citizen.

No, no, I'll clarify for you. The people Beck was asking for information on ARE public officials. Citizens have a right to know what they stand for as they are speaking for us. Wouldn't you agree? Beck is private citizen, he makes no more governing decisions than Britney Spears.

Attacking him is just a cheap attempt to diminsh the power that the left perceives him as having.

Poor Glenn Beck....his pathetic 9/12 Project turned out to be a bit of wash, what with only a few measly thousand sad-sack losers descending on DC for the huge gala demonstration.
What's pathetic is that post.

I think the only person that scares the Libbos more than Glenn Beck, is Sarah Palin.

Yeah...thats right Apdst. We're so scared of her. Your party should nominate her in 2012.

Absolutely. I have no doubt in my mind that Cheney, Beck, and Palin want nothing but for this country to be great, no matter who is president. It's disgusting to put Bin Laden in the same sentence with them.

I also have no doubt that Obama thinks he is doing what is best for the country. Cheney, Beck, Palin, and millions of others like me disagree. We believe his policies are hurting the country.

Is that so difficult to understand? Take off your partisan blinders for a minute.
you're joking, right? i wholeheartedly agree that dick cheney did what he thought was best for the country, however misguided i think he was.

but to put beck and palin in the same sentence with cheney is laughable. beck is an entertainer...and sarah palin is a joke. sarah palin wants sarah palin to be great (wealthy)......and beck wants viewers (= wealth), period.

I heard Keith Olberman is going to hold a protest against capitalism by giving people things they didn't earn on December 25th.

Since this was not the case, it is not relevant.

It is exactly the case. Just because you don't get the joke does not man it is not made in a joking manner.

I find the left's recently found hatred of Glenn Beck strange and amusing.

Beck was a nobody when he was on CNN. I watched him sometimes because he seemed honest and sincere, which he is, and he spoke about some issues I was interested in. When nobody was paying attention to him he was saying the same stuff he says now:

The government is too big. Politicians are corrupt. Here's the stories the media isn't covering that they should be.

And he was saying all of this while Bush was in the White House, but now that Beck is on Fox and attacking their Messiah (for the same reasons he attacked Bush) he's suddenly become part of the right wing propaganda machine. Funny how that works...

Beck's eccentric but he's not a bad guy. He honestly cares about this country and is worried about the direction our government is taking us in. The liberal hatred of him is just typical really. Their media overlords have labeled Beck (right-wing Christian zealot!!!) and ordered their little O-bot minions to attack him at every opportunity. This thread is a great example of that...

I know exactly what you mean. CNN kind of reigned in the crazy a little bit with him and Fox obviously is encouraging him to let it loose. He may be losing advertisers, but I'm sure the ratings more than makes up for that. Not only that, but it's secured him a spot in the list of the top 5 most hated people by liberals. It's really too bad CNN didn't have the balls to use such a ratings goldmine to its full potential.

what good are ratings without sponsors?

what good are ratings without sponsors?

Sponsors don't dictate ratings, though. People will continue to watch anyway. There will always be sponsors who will be willing to hitch their wagons to his show even if they don't agree on the same ideological levels. Many of the sponsors who pulled out did so for ideological reasons. Thankfully for him, many companies care more about money than their personal political views. Even so, he hasn't lost a ton of them.

Trhe big corps have more money to spend on advertising

How many mid teir to lower teir hawking cash for gold advertisers will it take to replace the titans?
