Glenn Beck's Day of Fasting and Prayer

Really? Tell me? Can you see these words crossing the lips of either Cheney, Palin, Beck or Bin Laden?

"I want the US to succeed in every way under the leadership of President Obama"

Why the hell should anyone who disagrees with Obama's idea of success want him to succeed? Please, explain it to me.

I find the left's recently found hatred of Glenn Beck strange and amusing.

Beck was a nobody when he was on CNN. I watched him sometimes because he seemed honest and sincere, which he is, and he spoke about some issues I was interested in. When nobody was paying attention to him he was saying the same stuff he says now:

The government is too big. Politicians are corrupt. Here's the stories the media isn't covering that they should be.

And he was saying all of this while Bush was in the White House, but now that Beck is on Fox and attacking their Messiah (for the same reasons he attacked Bush) he's suddenly become part of the right wing propaganda machine. Funny how that works...

Beck's eccentric but he's not a bad guy. He honestly cares about this country and is worried about the direction our government is taking us in. The liberal hatred of him is just typical really. Their media overlords have labeled Beck (right-wing Christian zealot!!!) and ordered their little O-bot minions to attack him at every opportunity. This thread is a great example of that...

I'll take the "Messiah" over a "Rightwing Christian zealot" any day.

Really? Exactly where were your and these other concerned citizens voices last year when it was most apparent that Republican policies were destroying our country's economy? This crap started even before President Obama took office...your argument is incoherant as is Becks, Cheney's and Palin's.

Funny you should ask, because when Beck was on CNN he consistently derided Bush's policies, for the exact same reasons he now derides Obama's policies.

If you're not going to respond to the points I made then don't even bother speaking to me.

Source?

Do you ever visit liberal blogs? MoveOn.org? Democratic Underground? Liberal media outlets?

They hate Beck. Everytime he does or says something they waste no time in attacking him.

I see pople disagreeing with his views, but I don't see

"Their media overlords"

"have labeled Beck (right-wing Christian zealot!!!)"

"and ordered their little O-bot minions to attack him at every opportunity."

Either of those.

Hey I agree there a SOME who might just feel they have a legimate argument, but they look foolish after condoning the last adminstrations antics. All the while trying to distance themselves as far as they can away from George Bush and Dick Cheney. There are many that are out there complaining for the sole reason that they simply do not want to agree with the fact that they lost an election fair and square through every fault of their own.

I remember during the economic meltdown last year when he signed the stimulus bill. George JR. only managed to come out of hiding to do a 30 second dimwit speech and then ran back into the Whitehouse without taking questions.

If i would have supported that mans policies i wouldn't want to admit it either and i certainly would be distancing myself from it too.

Fine, I took some poetic liscence but in effect it is the same.

You got little Obamaphiles who read their liberal blogs, get their liberal emails, and all that good stuff talking trash about Glenn Beck and then they come here and spout it off. I wonder where the OP got his motivation to post this crap, for instance.

It's like when people talk about the town-hall shouters, who supposedly get their directions from the GOP special interests. But I guess only the right is allowed to have evil overlords.

Glenn Beck isn't one of those people. He frequently attacked Bush for the same reasons he now attacks Obama.

And I'm waiting for you to contribute something positive to this forum. Guess neither of us should hold our breaths...

No... you are waiting for me to say exactly what you want me to say..it's not going to happen.

I contribute just fine.

You have a certian tone in your posts that does not exactly spell out NONhyperpartisianship........just sayn....:2wave:

Actually Beck was all about supporting Bush back in the day (although he now denies it). Loved the war in Iraq, loved the Patriot Act, loved the torture, loved the wiretapping of American citizens....just flat-out couldn't get enough of his boy Dubya. The funny thing now is that his audience is too stupid to know any better when Beck claims to have been aghast at the freewheelin' "socialist" ways of poor ol' G.W.

Anyhow here's a couple of interesting clips from Beck's show...the first one from sometime earlier this year:

"He [Obama] will say that Bush started us down the path toward socialism, and he’d be right by that. Bush started the crazy spending. He would be right again. Bush started the bailouts. Yes, he did — hated him for it."

Think Progress Beck claims he ‘hated’ Bush for starting the bailouts.

The second from Sept of last year:

"I thought about it an awful lot this weekend, and while it takes me -- it takes everything in me to say this, I think the bailout is the right thing do.

The "Real Story" is: The $700 billion that you're hearing about now is not only, I believe, necessary, it is also not nearly enough, and all of the weasels in Washington know it."

A year ago, Beck called for a bailout bigger than $700 billion; now claims he "[h]ated" Bush for starting bailouts | Media Matters for America

Priceless! :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

How am I a partisan? Please explain.

How am I a partisan? Please explain.

Because you don't follow lock step with the agenda of the left. You see, they know what is best for this country, and therefore their actions and policies are designed for what is best for all Americans. They are but humble servants of the people and would never use underhanded tactics to gain power in Washington, or the states. If a democrat is elected, it is simply the will of the people. When republicans win elections, it is only due to sheer ignorance of the voters, or underhanded tactics were used to steal elections.

You are partisan, because you do not recognize this. Prehaps you recognize the failings of the right(so you are almost there) But because you choose to ascribe bad policies and decisions to the left, you must be partisan, because anybody who wasn't partisan would see the wisdom and grace that is a part of liberal politics. And with a black president, your opposition suspicisously not only makes you look like a partisan, but a racist as well. Those two reasons, along with a poor rural education in the south, are the only way anybody could disagree with the policies and the actions of the left.

I hope this helps.

It's just Glenn Abdulhl plannibg for his The Hajj except that Glenn is making a pilgrimage to a parking lot near Dupont Circle in DC which is the Bectster's Mecca.

Hall of Fame post!

Next thing you know those crazy dems are going to accuse Beck of being an APPEASER to terrorism or something wacko like that.

Like that would be a first.

Actually if I recall the newsfeed. Beck went on the air saying he hated Bush for his government takeover policies. The same polices that dear leader continues. Bush and Obama are the same. Bush handed the election to Obama just like a track team hands off the baton. McCain was mere theatre for the masses. The only genuine candidate was Palin in that race. And they scrambled to control her. I do not think she would have made a good president except fiscally. Everyone else was and is in the bankers pockets.. It is called "stacking the deck".

Bush=Obama. Any differences are cosmetic and cosmetic alone and have little to no effect on real issues.

Absolutely. They already have a firm grip up the booty of the other 3 candidates. She came out of left field. No one thought she would go anywhere and she did not but you can bet she scared the bejeezus out of them for awhile. Her weakness was her lack of mouth/brain control and her family and it was exploited. If she did not expect her family would not be attacked it speaks to her political naivete.

She was a trainwreck from the second McCain led her out onto the stage wearing his fake "country first" grin on his face.
