'We hate the United States': Secessionists rally in Texas

It is one of many possible (an infinite number) of theories. Now answer my question.

Really?!?!?!?

Can you provide any more information on these competing theories of gravity.

Oh wait, I get it - just looked it up.

Gravity itself is a law - things fall when you drop them. The Theory of Gravity is the mechanics behind it - particle interaction, Relativity, Lorentz symmetry, Dynamic Theory - even Newton had issues with his own Theory of Gravity.

My bad - when you said gravity was just a theory I thought you meant the actual fact of gravity, not how it works.

It was YOU that said gravity was only an opinion. CC is merely asking you to explain yourself - You know - Crap or get off the pot.
I explained that way back on page 23. I was trying to get him to clarify the difference between the two which he apparently can't do, as he ignores my questions and asks different questions.

He's realized he's in over his head and treading water. I'd prefer to debate him on a topic of which he's more familiar.

Precisely! One of the things I've been debating for 20-some pages is there's nothing wrong with discussing "opinions," to which I was met with an onslaught of "we discuss only facts." People seem to have lost the ability to think for themselves.

Can you only debate semantics? When you have something interesting to say, please come back.

When you can actually debate, logically, let us know.

No, you refused to answer my question. Please explain how an apple falling can be explained by something other than gravity.

And it is you that cannot understand this argument. You locked yourself in a hole from your first post and have been desperately trying to dig yourself out, since...with no success.

You STILL miss the point. There is nothing wrong with arguing opinions or facts. The problem is that you have shown over and over that you do not know the difference.

No, you refused to answer my question.
Why don't you just pick up your toys and go home? Here you are demanding that I respond to your question, when you refuse to answer mine.

Update!!!!!!
Right wing “terrorist” says he misspoke

Redding, CA Sixty seven year old Bert Stead is a portly, soft spoken, slightly grey and thin haired senior who rides a Goldwing motorcycle. Stead could not have imagined that he would be part of a controversy that erupted on a national scale after Second District Republican Congressman Wally Herger praised Stead’s comment at an Aug. 18 Redding health care town hall when at the end of his remarks Stead proclaimed, “I am a proud right wing terrorist.”

Herger responded with “Amen. God bless you. There goes a great American.”

Published in the Southern Siskiyou Newspapers, Herger’s remarks have been picked up by the national media and have generated fierce denunciations and lively debate.

Stead says it was not his intention to use the work “terrorist” and his remarks were in response to Democratic policies and pronouncements."“I meant to say extremist.... I was defending my right to be extreme, but not in the same sense as going out and doing violence. One of Barak’s people called us extremists. I am not a terrorist. I am a patriot.”

As for Herger’s remarks, Stead thinks Herger misunderstood him.

“I think Wally heard extremist,” Stead said.

Heh. The guy who said it doesn't even stand by it! And even if Herger did misunderstand him (which I find difficult to believe in the extreme; in the video, it's quite clear what he said), this still doesn't explain the loud and enthusiastic response he received from the crowd.

Finally, on the subject of Mr. Stead's videotaped remarks, he began his comments with the following:

"Wally, one side of my family came over here on the Mayflower. The first winter was rough, but they didn't have their hands out looking for somebody to support them. The reason our country is so great is because we stand up and we earn what we are entitled to."

I'm sure it's true that the Mayflower pilgrims weren't looking for a handout upon their arrival in this place, but the rest of it? Not so much. Apparently, they stole what they needed. ;)

The settlers, upon initially setting anchor, explored the snow-covered area and discovered an empty Native American village. The curious settlers dug up some artificially-made mounds [known today as Corn Hill; go ahead, Google it], some of which stored corn while others were burial sites. The settlers stole the corn and looted and desecrated the graves, sparking friction with the locals. They moved down the coast to what is now Eastham, and explored the area of Cape Cod for several weeks, looting and stealing native stores as they went. --Wiki

Way to go, Bert! :rofl

Here you are demanding that I respond to your question, when you refuse to answer mine.

Weren't you going to give your definition of "normal people?"

Why don't you just pick up your toys and go home? Here you are demanding that I respond to your question, when you refuse to answer mine.

You presented a position. You were questioned on it. You have no responded. See, that's how debate works...you present a position, folks challenge you, you defend it. All you've done is show that you don't understand the argument. Are you ready to give it a try, yet?

"WE HATE THE UNITED STATES"
Wasn't that the same thing Osama Been Forgotten was saying as he attacked our country on Bush and Cheney's watch?
After being warned.

These people must be related.

You can hate the United States all you want, you might even have a real grudge?

But you better look to Tibet to see what the next big boy on the block acts like, and then the big, bad US might not be so bad.

Consorting with the sort of people who said things like this was also one of the main weapons used against Obama during the election. Great ammo for this Congressman's opponents to use against him.

Where did that come from?

oops.....i was trying to respond to this: i see nothing wrong with change, if we didn't continue to evolve we would still have slavery.

I have no doubt that if I were to submit a "how much do you love your country" survey (say scale 1 to 10)... liberals would score lower.

See, that's how debate works...you present a position, folks challenge you, you defend it.
For someone that has been on this forum for so long, you seem to know very little about debate. Had you been paying the smallest bit of attention, you would see that I've been defending myself for well over 20 pages.

I ask you one simple question and all you can do is ignore it and try to ask (yet another) question of your own:

Maybe other people have time to waste with you, or are able to share in your freshly-realized observation that gee -- facts and opinion are different! Whoa! Like kids who have just gone #2 in the potty for the first time you can both point in awe at what you've created.
