First of all, it was an opinion piece. No different than Hanity saying Obama is a threat to the country or Glen Beck calling him a racist. I have yet to hear Fox News to apologize for those words. Secondly, he wrote he had "heard" about it, not that it was a fact or he had proof of it, just as I have heard about it. He brought it out on paper.. and that is a crime now? Is there no freedom of speech just because it involves Israel all of a sudden?

Also I have seen people write that green men are coming from mars in a paper but does that mean it is true or that they even believe what they write?

I haven't said that you believed it, I said that you believe it might be true, and you said the same thing in the quoted passage, when you've marked it as a possibility.

Is there another reason.. arms deal going sour? A leg up in some negotiation? Who knows.. I have a right to express my curiosity over why the hell the Israeli state is going all out against this insignificant article in a Swedish newspaper.. there are far far worse accusations on a daily basis on the net and other newspapers all over the world.

I never stated anything about my opinion about the article, only stated that I too had heard this rumour long ago and that I had an opinion based out of curiosity over the fact that the state of Israel was prolonging the "news cycle" of the article by reacting the way it was doing. I never stated if I believed or not the accusations in the article.

As for "hearing both sides".. I stand by my comment. The bias in coverage in the US media is huge and you only hear one side of the story over there. We get both sides here and is that some sort of a crime?

What is the difference between the cartoons and this opinion piece? It is offensive to either Muslims or the state of Israel and in both cases the relevant governments refused to condemn or "punish" the newspaper due to freedom of the press.. and that is somehow wrong?

And even worse.. if it was not wrong in the Cartoon case to defend freedom of the press by the Government.. why is now wrong in the Swedish case?

And I said nothing of the sort. I said I had HEARD, as in hearing with you ears, .. a rumour about 10 years ago. That is a huge difference. Hearing something does not mean I believe in what I hear.. far from it. I have heard many rumours about what Israel does and I dont believe in any of them before there is credible evidence. This goes for both sides in the conflict. I dont trust any of them further than I can throw them.

Of course it is a possibility, however far out it is..it is also a possibility that aliens did it, that the Palestinians did it to make the Israeli's look bad, that the CIA did it, that the FSB did it.. that the Swedes did it!... but all these are as far out as the IDF doing it. It does also not mean that it is true or that I have that opinion that it is. All I am doing here in this segment is speculating on why the heck the state of Israel is reacting so to this insignificant opinion piece. It is out of character basically for the State of Israel to react so. I have read critical articles about Israel in many newspapers and seen it on TV, claiming everything from torture to killing civilians, and I have yet to see Israel reacting in such a way against said newspapers. Hell considering the exposes the BBC and ITV have done over the years being critical of Israel, I have yet to see the Israeli government make an international issue out of it.
