Republican candidates have now matched their biggest lead over Democrats of the past several years on the Generic Congressional Ballot.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 43% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 38% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent.

The level of support for Democratic candidates is unchanged this week, but backing for GOP candidates rose one point from a week ago. This is now the eighth straight week Republicans have led on the Generic Ballot

Rasmussen.... what a joke. Let's get an average of all polls done by many pollsters and then talk. I find it funny that you righties will praise a poll if it agrees with you.

And I find it hilarious that you'll dismiss the best polling organization out there because it doesn't produce results that make you happy inside.

See how that works?

:rofl

Yeah, you lefties never do that.

People are now waking to the fact that Obama is just another politician and not *gasp* the savior of the universe like we all thought!!! He lied about ending wars, he lied about lowering taxes, he can't get health care reform passed with a majority in the House and Senate (which is a good thing but speaks to his political ineptitude), he lied about immigration reform, and the list keeps growing daily. My only concern with this development is that people will go running right back to the GOP and elect Romney or Guiliani or God knows who else in the hopes that "they will change this country for the good, blah blah blah". The downfall of Obama is a real chance for a strong third party (*cough* Libertarian Party *cough*) to emerge and try to bring about real change and reform in the US, not just catchy slogans and "hopes and dreams and rainbows and stickers and butterflies....".

Question is if the righties will correct themselves when the poll goes the other way? I doubt it.

Won't matter, because the Lefties will beat them to it, anwyay.

So what does everyone think this indicates? I feel some people may be waking up somewhat and recognizing the new boss is the same as the old boss but in the end there is still a ways to go.

Personally I prefer opposing forces in the branches. History shows the more they push through the more they screw up.

Yeah, kind of like Research2000's poll showing what a bunch of racist Republicans there are in the south huh?

When did Research2000 become the best polling organization out there? I'd never even heard of them until this year. Oh, nevermind, I forgot to inject your hyper-partisan vitriol into your "thinking process" - that explains it.

This response kind'a paints you as a bigot. Doesn't it?

Interesting....do you see where I put Research2000 as the best polling organization out there? Don't put freaking words in my mouth. Oh nevermind, what was I thinking that you could respond with an honest post without your own hyper-partisan vitriol into your "thinking process"....EPIC FAIL :2wave:

Try following along oh confused one -

And I find it hilarious that you'll dismiss the best polling organization out there because it doesn't produce results that make you happy inside.

Right pointed out that your ilk is dismissing the best polling organization because you disagree with the results.
Yeah, kind of like Research2000's poll showing what a bunch of racist Republicans there are in the south huh?
You countered with a poll from a research group I've never heard of, as if it holds any weight in comparison to Rasmussen.

When did I become a hyper-partisan again? I can assure you that there are several posters who would argue that I am not, but why should I let the truth get in the way of the sam_w comedy show?

:rofl

About the time you started insulting people by referring to their "ilk" and making snide comments about their "comedy show".

I wonder if this will clear Rasmuessen's name?

What specific objection do you have to Rasmussen? Can you please say something substantive and intelligent for a change? You contribute virtually nothing to this forum.

Yeah, kind of like Research2000's poll showing what a bunch of racist Republicans there are in the south huh?

What are you talking about? This doesn't make any sense.

Interesting....do you see where I put Research2000 as the best polling organization out there? Don't put freaking words in my mouth.

It may have came from this:

And I find it hilarious that you'll dismiss the best polling organization out there because it doesn't produce results that make you happy inside.

Yeah, kind of like Research2000's poll showing what a bunch of racist Republicans there are in the south huh?

A forgiving reading of your post could only lead one to the conclusion that you were trying to equate my dismissal (?) of Research2000's poll with your dismissal of Rasmussen's poll. That would indicate that you believe that my dismissal is egregious as yours, and as I already noted that Rasmussen is the best pollster out there, your statement indicates that you believe that Research2000 is on the same level.

That may not be what you were saying, but that's the only way that your post would make any sense.

Ahh, I get it now. When I go after the hyper-partisan's on either side of the aisle, I am a hyper-partisan myself using your (il)logic. Gotcha! Which side am I a hyper-partisan of since you know me so well?
