For those looking forward to hearing what former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, was going to say at the Simi Valley Republican Women's event on Aug. 8 at the Ronald Reagan Library, you can stop holding your breath. She's not attending.

Palin's spokeswoman attempted to clear the issue up in a posting on Palin's Facebook page last night.

"As repeatedly stated to several in the media over the last week, former Governor Sarah Palin is not committed to attend the Simi Valley Republican Women's event at the Reagan Library and in fact is not attending the event. Neither the Governor's state staff nor SarahPAC has ever committed to attending this event or speaking at this event, and even requested that the Governor's name be removed from the invitation several weeks ago. The Governor has other work and commitments to take care of at that time. "She looks forward to visiting her friends in California soon.

"All event requests must be confirmed with Meghan Stapleton of SarahPAC. Additionally, all invitations bearing the Governor's name must be approved by her attorney before proceeding.

Thank you.

Well she not willing to do Republican party fund raisers at the Reagan library.
What is this woman doing....quitting everything but cleaning fish?

She disses Alaska now she dissed California...twisted.

I have a feeling that she at this point is only interested in filling her own pockets with the aftermath of her 15 mins of fame and flame.

I once went to the Ronald Reagan library but much to my dissapointment I found out the one book he had read in his lifetime was already checked out.

That is because every time she opens her mouth we roll around laughing our @$$es off. Hey, we need humor you know, and damn if that woman doesn't make us laugh with her vapidness. Personally I want to see more of her, god damn I hope, no pray, she will be the nominee in 2012. Go Sarah go.

I hope it was Nancy Reagan who disinvited Palin.

Sarah Palin should only enter the Reagan Library as a visitor. (Same goes for the White House)
