Commie-speak? Sounds like you've already made your own conclusions. The civil rights era had nothing to do with giving property and money to decedents of slavery which is what reparations are. Not reparations. Reparations are payment for past injustices perpetrated on them. The civil rights era was about undoing Jim Crow and creating equality established under the constitution. So yes in this case you're using the word reparations as its understood incorrectly. There's a difference between what you said and what he actually said
That still doesn't change the fact that he believes that reparations (as you've defined above) should have been a natural extension of the Civil Rights era. If you take Barack's viewpoint the Civil Rights era and reparations should have been one in the same, it isn't a stretch to claim that the repairative measures taken ( if they aren't repairative what are they?) of the civil rights era "didn't do enough."
Are you trying to use this as a way to illustrate that Obama is opposed to wealth re-distribution to blacks?
