Reporter Challenges Trump on Lie About Vets Choice, and He Ends the Press Conference Instead of Answ

First he lies and tries to take credit for Obama's actions again. The a reporter calls him out for it. And the big baby cuts and runs yet again.

Speaking at his resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, at his second press conference in two days Saturday, President Donald Trump abruptly ended a briefing when a CBS reporter challenged him on a lie he has repeated multiple times. Trump called on White House Correspondent Paula Reid, and she asked, “Why do you keep saying you passed Veterans Choice?” Trump attempted to move on to another reporter, but Reid continued speaking. “It was passed in 2014. But it was a false statement, sir.” Trump said earlier in the press conference that he had passed the Veterans Choice Act, which makes it possible for veterans to use their government health benefits at providers other than Veterans Administration hospitals. In reality, it was passed in 2014 under President Barack Obama. After Trump refused to answer the question multiple times, he cut off the briefing to the cheers of his supporters. Reid retweeted video of the exchange in its aftermath.

That's why he has to steal the credit from someone else.

Maybe he’s simply been lying. Or maybe his condition is serious enough that he actually does think he passed it. Can’t walk, can’t talk, can’t remember, can’t discern what’s real.

Your confused; By any measure Obama deserves the title of "Dear Leader". No schools were rename after Trump, nor streets or municipal buildings. Nor do I recall any hard-boiling TV journalist orgasmically claiming "I have chills running down my leg". And I damn sure don't recall any journalist calling TRUMP a messiah.

Trump is what he claimed to grab.

Trump's also been planting his own 'reporters' in the briefings to give him softball questions and opportunities for campaign rants.

More worthless deflections.

First, Trump decided that he would hold daily "Covid-19 White House Updates" and then he would turn them into freebie campaign stumps. When that didn't turn his tanking poll numbers around, he decided to hold in-person rallies. Unfortunately, his staff came down with the infection and a prominent attendee actually died following the Oklahoma City rally. Again, it did nothing for his polling numbers.

So now he is back to WH Updates as the only viable means of reaching out to the voters. Unfortunately, the reporters have since grown a spine and they are not afraid of being tossed out if they piss Trump off. So they ask hard hitting questions like they should have all along. When this happens, Trump has no choice but abruptly end the presser.

Trump doesn't like looking like a puppy who just got caught peeing on the carpet, so to counter the real journalists, under the premise of "social distancing" he's filling the room with "friendlies" who ask softball questions and allow him to ramble on about whatever nonsense he likes.

The next step is Trump or his proxies (campaign) will feed the friendlies the specific questions Trump want to answer.

Struggling to find something - anything - to turn those poll numbers around.

The free press and the presidency are each in the Constitution.

Trump doesn't recognize either as valid or applicable to Him.

He hates the whole of it in fact.
