Grandfather of slain 11-year-old rips on Black Lives Matter

“Everybody’s just saying, they’re tired, tired of shootings in the community. Everybody’s running around here like they’re Uzi-toting, dope-sucking psychopathic killing machines,” said John Ayala, granddad of 11-year-old Davon McNeal, who was struck in the head by a stray bullet as a family party was winding down and a group of men opened fire at each other nearby.
“We’re protesting for months, for weeks, saying, ‘Black Lives Matter, Black Lives Matter.’ Black lives matter it seems like, only when a police officer shoots a black person. What about all the black-on-black crime that’s happening in the community?” he added, according to video posted on Grabien.

He brings up a good point. Why is BLM silent when black on black crime happens?

I am starting to no longer believe much of this.

BLM is an important step in dealing with several issues we see, but so is violence that plagues various cities across the nation. There does not seem to be much interest in dealing with underline economics that causes so many of our concerns and as such perhaps some of these challenges are becoming important enough to discuss.

Why is it that the citizens of Trump Fan Nation can not stop making thread after thread about dead children who they care exactly nothing about, yet they never made posts or threads about the children killed in Parkland?

I'm not sure which children you are recommending be ignored or included in your outrage de jour.

Cruz (the Parkland school shooter) is awaiting trial unlike most of the shooters in "the hood".

Cruz's trial, initially scheduled to begin on January 27, 2020, was originally delayed until mid-year to allow his lawyers more time to build their case. As of June 2020, the case has been delayed indefinitely due to restraints caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Does the fact that the OP is created by someone from one political party or the other make it less valid? Seems like I have read too many of your posts to believe you care about fixing any of these problems rather than keeping the problems alive to have a wedge issue to gather votes.

Thus the sad reality of today's politics. Grandstanding by both sides, fixing little of substance.

I can't fix the problems. I'm not in government and I don't associate with murderers - of any race.

What is your solution to people having access to guns that kill 11 year olds?

another racist thread

OK, we understand who you are, happy?

So the grandfather (who is black and his grandson was murdered) a racist for daring to speak out? You people have a twisted sense of logic.

Strawman deflection: welcome to the new fascist left.

If opposing the ignorance of people who pretend to all of a sudden care about children being killed with guns makes me a fascist, I'm proud to be here.

I'd rather be a fascist than a fraud.

Fascist and lying- prove that I dont care about children, tres.

Maybe if search your posts I'll find all the threads you started about the children getting shot in school. Amirite? I mean, surely you aren't pretending now. You were on a constant rampage with every shooting of a child, in school, in the park, at the hands of his white parents. Yes? You didn't just get woken up by the shooting of this little black child, and coincidentally used it to attack BLM (or using his grieving grandfather's words).

You make plenty of assumptions and accusations against me with nothing to back it up. It is the opposite of truth, so stop hiding behind the lies.

Good story. Something I already knew. I'm sure when they attest the man who killed this child he will also stand trial. Or do you believe he won't?

I believe that the shooter(s) in this case will never be identified, arrested or face trial. I base this on the fact that most of the (gang/drug related?) shootings in "the hood" remain unsolved largely due to the cultural reluctance to "snitch".

This case appears to have involved multiple people shooting at each other, resulting in a "stray round" striking the child victim, in which any of those involved (in the public shootout) could be charged, but are unlikely to be reported being as involved in that shooting event. Likely 'nobody done seen nothing' as they were all ducking for cover after hearing the (all too common) nearby gunfire.

My solution, such as is is to give people more opportunity. When the choices are a minimum wage job or join a gang the allure of for many is to do the latter. Give people the hope of having a decent life and you wont get rid of ALL crime but you will lessen the pool of people going that route.

Fix the disincentive for couples staying together, fix our school system including adding more trade schools. Open trade unions,so more diverse people get into them. Create incentives to get companies to retain jobs in America and move more jobs back.

Just a few,I am not all knowing there are many more and better ideas out there.

Really tired of the partisan pablum I see in at least 90% of the posts, called "debate" points on this site.

Wealthy people commit crimes. People who were raised better commit crimes. We will always have people committing crimes. This thread is about the tragic death of yet another child at the hands of someone with a gun, thinly veiled as an attack on BLM (with no evidence at all that this death had anything to do with BLM).

Yes all types of people commit crimes. However there is a smaller subset of people who do drive by shootings.

Perhaps this thread is what you say. I prefer to look at the issue without the blinders of just unarmed people killed by police,as horrible as it is.

I feel that in the spirit of BLM the issues I raised in an earlier post are at the core of the change many hope for. Many of these changes I have been advocating for decades.

Do you, or he, know what BLM wants to do with the funds pulled from policing? Clue it has to do with dealing with root causes of crime such as poor education, housing, jobs, and bleak future's. What is your suggestion on dealing with root causes of crime in poor neighborhoods, more policing, deal with the symptoms instead of the cause?

Because BLM already knows that whites are not to blame. However, the truth needs to be hidden. The puppeteers using BLM to establish a violent, totalitarian state need BLM to falsely accuse and manufacture racism. That can only be achieved by blaming whites for everything. Thanks!!
