My anti-Trump son was switching from CNN to MSNBC today and while I was getting dinner on the table I was listening in. What they say on that show is almost verbatim to what is said on this forum. It's uncanny how the "marchers" think that it is real news they are listening to. These are all prepared yapping points for the most gullible of society.

The Civil War saved him and made him the most famous person in the entire world.
That is history the stupid protestors should know.
Instead, the ignorant idiots are tearing down his statue.They're no better than the Nazis who burned books in the 1930s. And Grant opposed President Johnson because Johnson would not enforce the Reconstruction Amendments in South after Lincoln was assassinated.
Stupid people tearing down a statue of someone who worked hard to enforce Constitutional Amendments specifically written to give former slaves right vote and be free of discrimination.

When respect is given to history as the foundations of where we are today. Equality under the law. This is what we have. Yes, we have some bad folks, some are cops, some are judges, some are democrat liberals taking advantage of black voters, some are black men/women, some are white men/women. Overall this is the best country in the world with the most opportunity and freedom.

Heather Heyer was a counter-protester to the Unite the Right protest in Charlottesville The people who marched for Unite the Right were groups of white nationalists, racists, Nazis and neo-Nazis. There are videos of them chanting "We will not be replaced." as well as racist flags, symbols and speeches. Heyer was protesting that. Her killer, James Fields, was a known white supremacist and supporter of neo-Nazis. He ran her down, not because he was looting, but because he wanted to hurt the counter-protesters. He hit and killed Heather Heyer. His motive was out of hate, not mindless violence and looting. And, BTW, the majority of the fights that happened started with the Unite the Right folks attacking counter protesters.

David Dorn, a former African American police officer who helped city youth, was not killed due to his politics. He was killed by a bunch of a-holes who were looting. These persons were not connected to the protesters, instead formed a plan to loot a store by driving their car to the store and robbing it. The protesters nation-wide are not an army of looters. Whereas in Charlottesville, the majority WERE identified with various right-wing, racist groups.

See the difference? Or will you employ mental gymnastics to avoid seeing it?

Side note: interesting that you use the statue of David as your avatar. In the Bible, God punished David for senseless bloodshed as well as sending Uriah to his death so that he may have sex with Uriah's wife.

I remember when they asked Trump to comment on the removal of statues such as General Lee's. He simply commented on where it would lead to and it turns out that he was right.

To the media and the left wing politicians, those "looters and rioters" are still peaceful BLM protestors.

While when groups like Antifa showed up at Charlottesville. That is when everything became a deadly scene.

It is time to outlaw art. All artists are the enemy and any work they do should be destroyed. So should everything else built before 1964.

We can debate who has bad taste.
But I did get you to comment on that ridiculous fallacy.
I wrote that to show you how ridiculous you are to suggest that Grant was a bad person because he owned one slave which he freed before the Civil War. And he was so poor he couldn't even support his family.
