Caught on camera, police explode in rage and violence across the US

I recall when that Bundy group was going head to head with the government they got support for that. I guess little fights over government land is more an issue than government murder.

Yes, white people not getting a taxpayer handout from government-subsidized grazing on taxpayer land is government tyranny, and those white guys protesting it were well within their rights as good Americans to take over and vandalize a federal wildlife refuge. However, the government killing unarmed minorities in broad daylight in front of God and everyone is nothing to be really concerned with in their book.

I am not even sure what you are talking about. I was raised in the rural south. I have nothing against guns. I own several. I grew up around them in a house that was full of them. So I don't know what you are talking about.

What I am saying is that the bunch a few weeks ago that were protesting stay at home orders because they saw it as government tyranny are nowhere to be found when people are peacefully protesting against police brutality, which is the ultimate government tyranny.

If you thought that stay at home orders during a pandemic were government tyranny, but the police killing unarmed minorities is not, then you really don't actually care about freedom or government tyranny, so you need to drop the act.

Ah, so you are also in the delusional group that thinks you can tell a lock down protester from a police brutality protester?

And I was focused on your utterly moronic closing statement that seems to fault the lock down types from not showing up to peaceful protests with assault rifles.

I am saying that these white guys armed to the teeth protesting a stay a home order during a pandemic say they are so concerned with freedom and against government tyranny, but when the government kills an unarmed black man in front of God and everyone, why did they not protest that? I am not saying they should be rioting or shooting looters, I am saying if they loved this country and freedom at all, they should have been out protesting the government killing unarmed minorities.

the government didnt KILL an unarmed minority

one idiotic racist cop did...while 3 others watched

if you cant see the difference, then you sir are the one with the problem

She was already in the Senate when the decision was made by her successor.

And he ignores the decades of lobbying by police unions to craft the laws in such a way that it makes it very difficult to prosecute them for police brutality.

Yes, its totally an isolated incident....

For all of you that think that police brutality is only directed toward black Americans, enjoy!! YouTube
This year's footage, too. Very disturbing for those of you who would just as soon enjoy a peaceful Monday morning.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: police overreach is not a racial issue. It is a social issue that rises from a lack of scrutiny regarding police academy candidates and then protectionism within certain forces, forces that consistently ignore or excuse aggressive, erratic behavior. In my opinion, the majority of police are doing their best to adhere to the rule of law, but for those that don't, riots, theft and arson are certainly not going to fix the problem!!

They claim they were peacefully protesting with assault rifles and armed to the teeth before when they were bitching about the lockdown orders, so what the difference. Every time those far right, white militia types protest, they are always wearing the maga shirts, confederate flags on their hats, and armed to the teeth, but we are supposed to believe that they change out of all that and drive a prius to the BLM protests? Sure man. Sure.....

The lawlessness didn't start with the protestors, it started with the police in major cities across the country killing unarmed Americans. They have been doing it for decades. The difference today is that its often on video. Now, we see police brutality on display across the country.

Now, I not saying that most police act this way. Most police are good people trying to do a hard job. The problem is they seldom will give up the bad ones.

All these armed to the teeth right-wing white guys that protested stay at home orders? Where are they now? Obviously, they don't give a **** about government oppression. Their bull**** is exposed now.

I live in Louisville and I saw the reference to the destruction of the cache of milk and water bottles -- two things which are enablers for rioters to continue their journey of destruction in the downtown area. I support this action by law enforcement to disband these rioters off the streets of downtown Louisville.

And yet, you don't know if they are NOT out there. Maybe they just left their guns home this time. Maybe they changed from camo to black clothes.

Tell me...how would you know if they were there or not?

Oh, please, not even you believe that bull****. It is all about the spectacle for those folk. There is no way there are there without their bubbies.

If the police beat these people into the ground.

And I was on the jury who tried them. I'd say not guilty, and would never budge.

Jury nullification.

Well, at least the bar you set, it easy to step over.

It's weird to see the same people who screamed about the "violent" lock down protest because weapons were present find the most pressing issue for them in all of this was that lack of armed civilians at a protest.

Pay no attention to their darling Antifa burning cities down....

I am saying that these people that were supposedly protesting the government's tyranny of stay at home orders during a pandemic are nowhere to be found when the government kills unarmed black men in front of god and everyone. If these guys care about freedom so much, then why do I not see them at any of the peaceful protests against police brutality here in KC? They sure as **** were protesting not being able to go to a restaurant or get their hair cut during the lockdown, so why are they not out there with everyone else protesting police brutality?

You can't pretend to care about freedom and not be outraged by the government killing unarmed minorities in front of god and everyone. So if you don't support the protests against this, the peaceful protests, not the riots, then drop the bull**** about caring about freedom.
Police officers are employed and managed by local government. Officers like other first responders are good people overall. The politicians that supervise them, not always. Why isn't there a protest in Chicago every Monday at the Mayor's failure to protect the citizenry over the weekend? To mix topics a bit, the ineptitude and outright corruption of big city government is a big reason voting from those precincts is so suspect.

I can understand the rage, but it can't be a blind rage. It needs to be focused. There were 2 black entrepreneurs from Atlanta interviewed this morning. ( Atlanta mayor is doing a good job imo re: the rest) Their clothing retail business had survived the 3 month Covid19 lockdown. They were set to open today. They lost everything last night, stolen or destroyed. Watching the carnage, watching businesses being destroyed seeing the Lincoln Memorial, WWII memorial churches defaced. Should be the source of rage. DeBlasio and mayors and governors around the country put up tip lines for citizens to report Covid19 order violations how about they enforce the law with equal zeal. Business people were jailed for opening a soft touch was ordered for burning and pillaging.

Looks like the disciples of Cloward Pivin and Alinsky are going to get the visual they want. Martial Law. Military and equipment in the streets. Blackhawks in the sky. Instead of mobilizing hospitals building jails. To quell an insurgency.

Hope Democrats and the Democrat media are proud. It has gotten the pandemic off the TV. Anyone see the SpaceX launch? Pretty cool

Those videos were of the police attacking people peacefully protesting and in some cases, people that were not even protesting. As to who loves America. You support a guy that regularly showers praise on this country's enemies. Trump has showered Kim Jong Un with praise, a dictator that has tortured to death American citizens. So quit pretending to love America, because if you loved America, you would not support a man that showers this country's enemies with praise.

Moreover, don't pretend to love freedom. Because if you love freedom, you would not be for the police killing and beating unarmed civilians. You have exposed your true beliefs so man up and own it.

My freedom, and the freedom of other law-abiding Americans, is enhanced by measures to quell disorder. If that requires the police to use violence against people who won't obey their instructions, so be it.

As for Trump, I get that you don't like him or his foreign policy, but I'm not sure what that has to do with this thread.

I watched a commentator reviewing what's going on regarding the riots.

His background is in the military, law enforcement and the Secret Service.

He said that in any crowd control situation, agitators causing possible problems are easily identified by expert observers and then the agitators are removed and the situation cools down.

He noted that in Minneapolis, this was not done. In fact, the situation was allowed to fester and get worse by not addressing it as it was starting.

From what I've heard, the riots were allowed to blossom over a multiple day (night?) period.

The Minneapolis law enforcement seems to have made two BIG mistakes. One to kill a defenseless citizen and the other to not protect citizens that depend on them to maintain order.

BOTH mistakes are producing the response we see now.

There's two elements to the riots. On the one hand, professional agitators exist, and have undoubtedly been creating chaos both in Minneapolis and around the country. They weren't dealt with early on (because people in high places support them), thus the current situation. On the other hand, any time large crowds of blacks gather, there's danger of a riot. These two phenomenon have fed into each other.

That is literally the exact same argument the Chinese Communist Party uses.

Police officers are employed and managed by local government.

Not always. For example, in KC, the city police is not managed by city hall due to state law.

Officers like other first responders are good people overall.

I agree, but the problem is that the 90% that are good, will hardly ever give up the 10% that arent.

No one is in favor of rioting. It's worth pointing out that the vast majority of protests have been peaceful, and there are instances of white supremacists engaging in vandalism in the protests. Moreover, if you actually watch the videos in the opening post article, you will see the police engaging in violence against peaceful protesters and in some cases against people that are not even protesting.

You are the one praising and arguing in favor of government violence and oppression. Not me.

You are the one praising and arguing in favor of government violence and oppression. Not me.

And you are supporting mob violence and oppression. As a law-abiding citizen, I am more concerned with that.

I am saying that they are never anywhere to be found when there is real government oppression. Sure, they will take over a city hall when they can't get a haircut or go to a garden center during a pandemic, and they will take over a wildlife refuge when they don't like rules on grazing of public lands, but when the police kill an unarmed black man in broad daylight, in front of god and everyone, they are nowhere to be found.

yup.

where are the Christians??

I agree with everything except your last paragraph- are you blaming the Michigan stay at home protestors for not coming out with their guns and duking it out with cops? How would that be productive in any way?

It was just an opportunity for them to dress up like hmtheir favorite Call of Duty character.

To compare their penis compensators.

They were never gonna bust a grape in a bowl of fruit salad.

And every one is now completely compromised anyway, rendered ineffective by getting on a federal list. They are all now known and tracked.

What an awful job. Why would anybody want that job?? Being a police officer has got to be a lousy job. Anyway, as a recap, a black man is murdered by a white officer. The white officer is arrested and charged with murder. Protest continues. Why?? Not sure. Riots ensue. Why?? Not sure. And now it was because of white cops?? Really?? Hmmm. Makes me wonder if somebody in Beijing or Moscow is responsible for the information feed. What's next?? I know, We'll start getting transcripts of hacked e-mails of white police officers planning the ruin of inner city communities. Sure. That's next!!

Three (iirc) cops stood their and allowed it, ran interference with bystanders.

I want them charged too.

If you go into a liquor store with three others and one of them has a gun nobody knew about and shoots the clerk dead, all four get charged with the murder.

Lenity demands those officers be charged because they were all participants in the act that led to that death.

I agree, but the problem is that the 90% that are good, will hardly ever give up the 10% that arent.

Which makes them just as dirty.

"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality" - Desmond Tutu.
