Protesters take on man aiming bow and arrow at them

An angry driver in downtown Salt Lake City who yelled “All Lives Matter” from his car window whipped out a bow and arrow and aimed at protesters in the streets — who tackled him to the ground and pummeled him.

A second video from a different angle shows protesters crouching behind cars near McCormick as he swings the weapon around, before a group of people tackled him. The crowd then flipped the driver’s car, claimed people on social media, where McCormick was dubbed “Hawkeye” after the Marvel character who uses a bow and arrow.

LOL Hawkeye? WTF? Has the country gone nuts?

Its more like he took an arrow in the knee, a la Skyrim...

That was unwise...

That's so nuts. He shouldn't have done that. Crazy. It was also incredibly cowardly for a mob to continue attacking him like that after he was restrained. No need for it whatsoever.

He's lucky they simply didn't tear him apart. Crowds have done worse in the past. Drivers have been pulled out of vehicles after accidents.

Violence is bidirectional during riots.

I'm not sure mobs are the place to go when you're looking for rational and reasonable responses.

That's so extreme. The penalty of likely death by tearing him apart doesn't fit the crime. He was an idiot but he was restrained without any injuries to others thank goodness. There was was no need for that level of violence after he was restrained.

No, it's not, but let's not pretend they are that much better than a Police Officer who uses unnecessary force after someone is already restrained.

Well, unfortunately, as a society we seem to be lacking in the "rational and reasonable response" category.

Trying to explain that auto insurance claim might be difficult. ;)

"Well see... it started like this. I was playing Call of Duty, had a few too many PBRs mixed with moonshine, went downtown after finding pop's old bow... and somehow my car was flipped."
