HARTFORD, Conn. -- Connecticut's policy allowing transgender girls to compete as girls in high school sports violates the civil rights of athletes who have always identified as female, the U.S. Education Department has determined in a decision that could force the state to change course to keep federal funding and influence others to do the same.

Connecticut transgender policy found to violate Title IX

Should never have gone this far. It was insane to think a mutilated, modified man is on equal footing with a women.

Glad to see the Democratic science deniers in Conn. being shot down.

We'll wait for the courts, as this is heading there. The Education Department is run by political appointees whose preference would be just to kill anybody in the LGBT community.

This should have been resolved a year ago by the Ct. secretary of education. Typical bureaucrat who was unwilling to do their job cause it might offend someone. They were allowing true males (not biologically altered) to compete with females. How could any adult have let this happen? Unfortunately, it will prob take years in court to end this garbage...

This is just the first step in this mess. Now they also have to decide if an altered male can compete with females, or if they retain too much of an advantage.

Wait, make and female are just social constructs. What's the big deal?

Any movement towards getting males out of female sports is good. Females being bludgeoned with Title IX has been disgraceful to watch.
