Trump administration declassifies full Susan Rice email sent on Inauguration Day

Trump administration declassifies full Susan Rice email sent on Inauguration DayTrump administration declassifies full Susan Rice email sent on Inauguration Day - POLITICO (Politico).

There are a number of layers to this news (which I only found on non-MSM sites). First, this is another example of manipulation of intelligence procedures for purely political purposes (it was immediately the basis for a Trump campaign mailer - that does not seem coincidental). Second, it does not support the narrative that Trump is promoting - indeed, directly refutes it. What is clear is that all of the players involved were being scrupulous about adhering to the letter and spirit of the law, despite the disturbing implication of the incoming National Security Advisor having excessive direct conversations with Russian officials, and apparently seeking to undermine US policy.

The email is here. It actually shows how a responsible national leadership team is supposed to operate. "President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities be 'by the book'." How refreshing.

There was a 15 minute block on this last night at 9 PM on MSNBC. I think the real reason it's not a big deal is just that, It's not a big deal. It shows that pretty much all different agencies were doing what they were supposed to do. Yes, very refreshing. I guess this kinda blows the air out of Obamagate.

He knows his supporters are all-in.

He knows they won't read it. Instead, they'll all just start saying in unison that it's damning. Jim Jones's people killed themselves because he told them to. Telling a moronic lie because Trump told them to is nothing.

See, one already started a hopelessly stupid and bitterly dishonest thread doing just that:

White House counsel advised Susan Rice to write memo on Oval Office discussion about Michael Flynn

It amazes me when an actual news item gets no attention, but deliberate troll threads get pages. I guess click-bait works here, too. Maybe I should have used bait words... oh, except they aren't in the title to the article.

I wonder what would happen if every poster had to cite the sources and evidence to their claims, like I had to do as a history major

Any idea when they will declassify the Flynn phone calls?
