Reade had spoken highly of Biden, the former boss who employed her as a staff assistant from late 1992 to August 1993, and never mentioned assault or harassment, Wrye recalls. But what Wrye remembers most is that by the time Reade left their property and moved on, Wrye felt burned.

After her husband suffered a brain injury that forced the couple to sell the property, Wrye said, Reade turned on them. “She became really difficult,” Wrye said. “She said, ‘You’re going to have to pay me to get me to leave.’”

...Wrye’s distressing experience with Reade wasn’t an isolated case. Over the past decade, Reade has left a trail of aggrieved acquaintances in California’s Central Coast region who say they remember two things about her — she spoke favorably about her time working for Biden, and she left them feeling duped.

...many of those who knew her well in recent years said she frequently lied or sought to manipulate them, in many instances taking advantage of their desire to help a person they felt was down on her luck.

“You can use these words: manipulative, deceitful, user,” said Kelly Klett, an attorney who rented Reade a room in her home in 2018. “Looking back at it all now, that is exactly how I view her and how I feel about her.”

“She has a problem,” said Lynn Hummer, who owns a horse sanctuary where Reade volunteered for two years, beginning in 2014.

She described Reade as “very clever, manipulative. ... I do think she’s a liar.”

Believing women is where you start, it's not an ultimatum.

Then we move on to credibility of witness. That's where Reade falls far short.

I realize it's supports the right wing agenda for you to believe it, but there it is.

Compare that to 25 credible witnesses against Trump, and everyone on the right making rationalizations.

Actually I waited for some evidence of wrong doing to be presented and said that if they could get him on, that they should try him and put him away.

You can keep tucking your tail all you like Person. It doesn't help you hide just how hypocrital the lot of you are. Not to mention pushing the same dead horse as this whole beauty pageant story.

"Bimbo eruptions" to quote Hillary when her husband was in the hot seat for this.

You're forgetting how due process went out the window with all of these same claims.

Those women tabled against Trump are stories that have long since passed into history and all you're doing is saying that "he's got 25 against him" so that means Biden's clear to have as many as he wants.

He's been credibly accused. Deal with it and just have a shred of pride in the matter, or at least some integrity.
I've always said that if they can prove any wrongdoing by Trump to such a degree as sexual assault. Then lock him up and throw away the key.

But you're letting Biden have a pass, simply because he's against Trump.

You and the entire almost the entire anti-Trump camp are nothing but hypocrites are this point.

The story has run its course politically. With Trump's past transgressions getting a hand wave away, it's lowered the bar for others to follow. We have become desensitized politically when a sexual accusation is made.

Same goes for supposed senility, his gaffes. We currently have a full force gaffe machine in the WH. Biden's gaffes are neutralized politically as long as Trump keeps saying dumb ass things such as ingesting disinfectant. Thanks Trump supporters, your low leadership standards have set a low bench for all.

If the only way you can address the accusations by Reade is to deflect to accuse Trump, you can't address Reade's accusations.

First there is no mess, just rabid right whining. The 'new norm' has been around for awhile- just ignored in tRump's case. There isn't a string of adultery, porn star sexual encounters, on tape crude comments, bragging about watching teen girls dressing... :roll:

There is no history of drinking or a 'devil's triangle'...

Reade's accusation is being investigated, unlike tRump's accusers which are being blocked, but there isn't a pattern to reinforce her claims. Her claims do seem to have grown bigger which the passing years. The senate records are in Republican hands- by now any dirt would have be held up high. No payment trail like tRump's porn star adultery. No bagman paying off pornstar sex workers.

But apples and oranges is the only thing the rabid right has... :peace

Show where everyone who doesn't believe Reade or supports Biden made the claim all women should be believed no matter what other evidence comes out. Unless you can show that, you don't have evidence of hypocrisy.

When were we told that Blasey Ford had to be believed? I remember calls to investigate her claims. We investigate a lot of things in this country. How does that translate to "the claim must be believed"?

I know a lot of people believed her claims. A lot of people didn't. A lot of people didn't know what the truth was and wouldn't presume to know it. Are you saying that's the first time in our country's history that someone accused someone else of doing something and some people believed it?

It's unclear. There may be some gofundme pages out there. It seems that she may have had some gofundme schemes in the past. Right now, it isnt really clear what sort of job she has or what she does to make money but her blogs have said she is a writer. And she said last year she was trying to write a book, so it isn't out of the question that she may be doing that now, using this as a sort of jumping point.
